Does Al Ru Farm provide a choice of furniture options?

Yes, we have mulitple options for both seated and cocktail receptions, including long or round tables as well as other bar style furniture and garden options. 

In addition we have various options for ceremony seating and signing tables.

Do you have a prefered supplier list?

Once you book your wedding at Al Ru Farm you will receive from us lots a helpful planning information, including our "Friends of the Farm list'.  In addition to the great suppliers included on there, you are welcome to bring in any others that you wish to work with for your wedding day.

Is there a wet weather option for ceremony and canapes?

Our hayshed is a fabulous option for winter or rainy day ceremonies.  With a beautiful outlook over the garden, full cover overhead and our large open fire burning as required it is a stunning and very memorable ceremony location.

Does Al Ru Farm offer a wedding coordinator?

Our team of wedding co-ordinators will work closely with you right up until you're ready to say I do.

We are available for planning appointments in the lead-up to the wedding and along with our catering team will help to guide you with planning  runsheets, floorplans and many other aspects of you day.

On the day, we will have the venue set according to the plans we have made together and will be available for any trouble shooting and to guide your other suppliers.  Once the catering team arrives we hand over to them, and you and your guests will be in their safe hands.

Can I hold my ceremony or reception at a different venue?

Yes, of course you can. Please let us know which part of your wedding day you would like to hold at AL RU Farm whether it be just the ceremony, or just the reception - otherwise both!

How late can I confirm last minute numbers?

Al Ru Farm

At the latest, two weeks before the day, the final numbers are due. If you add any numbers after the two weeks – that is fine. Within the 14 days before your wedding, any guests decide to drop out, you must still pay the full and initial amount.

I saw that place names, bonbonnieres, menus and centrepieces are also an option... Can I know more about this?

We do not supply any of these but are happy to help you with the setup of them on the tables. Please ensure clear instructions and pictures are provided for our staff and place cards are in order of appearance on the tables.

Do I need to organise vases for the bridal table for the bouquets?

Yes all decorative items are to be organized by you.

I did read in the brochure you offer a “10% discount for Friday and Sunday bookings for 100 adult guests or more“ is this still an option?

Yes if you have 100 or more ADULT guests and your wedding is on Friday or Sunday the 10% discount would be applied.

I understand from when we met in person a minimum 70 is required on Friday’s? I still think our guest list will be closer to 100 but if it was to drop under, the minimum is still 70?

That is correct – the minimum number would remain on the invoice even if you only end up having less guests.

How do seating plans work?

We have uploaded floor plans of our venues to OneDrive. Please download, and draw your seating plan onto these floor plans. Don’t stress, you can print and scan, or draw directly onto the file - whichever suits your skills best!

*This can be amended as late as one week prior to your event

**Please remember to tell us the position of any extra tables such as: cake table, guestbook and gifts-table; and/or any large props you may use such as a photo-booth, large floor lighting (large lettering ie. “Mr&Mrs”)

What chairs do I use?

We offer...

For the ceremony: White, Wood Flat, Gold or Clear

? We provide 48 white chairs free of charge

? Otherwise, 40 Wood Flat Chairs for an added cost of $100

? You can also use Gold or Clear chairs at an added cost of $__ each

For the reception: Gold or Clear

? We have two styles of chairs on offer - Gold and Clear (this is included in the

package)

We might potentially have a few children (3-11 year old) coming to the wedding. The brochure said they could be fed at $35 along with suppliers. Is this still the correct number?

Yes this is still the correct price for FY 18 -19

I understand the whole package will run from 4.30 -11.30 and additional prices apply there after? Do most weddings finish on time? Should I look into extra time?

Al Ru Farm

Our packages include 7 hours – from the start of the ceremony to guest departure. Extra time will have to be organized before the event itself, on the night the catering staff will ensure the run sheet is enforced.

We have selected the “Banquet to table” which I’m hoping to organise canapes/entrée (roving entrée) out on the lawn before sitting down in the barn. This won’t involve any lawn reception payments will it?

No, the canapes are included in the per head price already and no extra charges for the homestead lawn are needed.

To confirm the Wedding cake can be served on platters for no extra cost?

That is correct, our staff will serve it out on PLATTERS for free.

Which location can we/our guests stay in?

Al Ru Farm

2. Australia Suite

3. International Suite

*The Australia and International Suites are situated in the same building, please be mindful that suites may be booked by other occupants during your stay

**We require a list of names for the occupiers of each suite (yes, full names, please!)

***We also require what time you will be checking in, even if the guests are staggered, so we know who is entering the property

Can we hold a rehearsal dinner?

Yes, of course you can - we recommend doing so in the barn

I would love to use some of the homesteads antique collection including the green coloured Butcher’s Block Table, antique French Counter, wire frame Cocky’s Cage (wishing well), I will talk to you about this closer to the date.

Yes you are welcome to use any and all of these at no extra cost.

As much as I like the look of the long tables I would much rather have round tables in the barn. With 100 people do you think we can make this work?

Al Ru Farm

Round tables would be less space efficient, 100 would be the absolute maximum we could fit on round tables I the barn.

I didn’t realise the wood slat chairs come as an extra cost 48 at $2.50 per chair. We may still go ahead with this but if I have say a family friend with chairs can I bring those up instead or do I need to use your options?

The Wood Slat Chairs are only an extra charge if you would like us to set them up – you are welcome to set them up yourselves at no cost. 48 White Lawn chairs are included in the price.

I understand the run sheet would indicate last drinks and cessation of music by 11.00... is that when I should also have the bus picking up people? Say 11.10?

If the event is set to finish at 11.30 you would get them to arrive at 11.15 and leave at 11.30. Last drinks and music stopped (or put very low on the back ground) at 11.00.

How can we get to AL RU Farm?

I understand spirits will require additional bar staff, but all other bar staff are included?

Yes correct, all staff is included for drinks unless you are having spirits in which case it would be $2.50 per head.

I understand Suppliers must make appointment times for delivery with AL RU Farm staff. Pick up must be no later than 9.30 am the following day unless previous arrangements have been made with AL RU Farm. Does 9.30 also apply to us leaving on Saturday morning?

Yes that is correct, you can start setting up at 9.30 AM on the day of your wedding and all decorations & left over drinks have to be off premises by 9.30 the next morning.

How many toilets are on site?

We are currently building a second toilet block which will be finished by August 2018. There will be a total of 8 toilet booths at that point of which 1 disabled access toilet.

Yes you are welcome to contact Tent Events for glamping tents – we allow this in a broad way however don’t book anything in before actually conferring with us about dates & timings + locations of the tents, vans and swags.
