What’s the difference between a made to order, made to measure and ready to wear wedding dress?

Hi there. Can you explain the difference between a made to measure wedding dress, couture, made to order and also ready to wear? Thank you!

Kerry Armatas

Custom made a wedding gown is:
The designer dressmaker will take the
measurements by herself and design
and made the gown to your specific body
measurements in the style In the
colour and in the details off your
choice that will fit you perfect and
Make you look and filling stunning on
your Wedding day as you wearing
You gown
Made to order a wedding gown is:
That: you can take your measurements
By your self or same body else can take the
Measurements for you and give it to the
dressmaker to make the gown
Then she made the gown for you but it my
not Fit you perfect and it my needs
same Alterations which my cost
you extra
And ready made gowns is :
That you can  go to  a wedding gown
Store and choose a style you try it on
And if you like it you can bay it straight
away and you can take it home with
you  Or you my needs to organise
alterations if it needs any
You remember you will have to choose
A style of what is there all ready made

How will I know when I've found "the dress"?

I'm not really a girly girl so it's hard for me to imagine finding THE wedding dress that everyone seems to talk about. Does this happen for everyone? And how will I know? I'm scared I'll choose something out of necessity and not because I honestly love it. I don't wear dresses much.

Kerry Armatas

You will know you love this dress if when you are wearing it you fill elegant beautiful and individual when you don't want to try on any other style. The best idea to find the style of dress that will compliment your complexion is to take same advice of  a designer a dressmaker  a shop assistance or your best friend of yours also you can get same advice of same relatives of yours that you trust.

should i change my dress if i attend a wedding before mine & that bride is wearing the same dress??

i'm pretty shocked and upset! What should I do

Kerry Armatas

These instances can occur with ready made wedding gowns. It is ultimately the brides choice as to whether or not she wants to wear the same dress or change this. It is of course, a difficult decision to make and one of the key drivers behind the brides decision will be the cost associated.
If you custom make your wedding gown you eliminate these instances as the custom made gown will be original and of a personal style made specific for the bride in the style, colour, fabric and detail of her choice.

Can I get a dress designer to re-create a gown for me that I love but is unavailable?

I really love this gown, but I can only get it in europe, and I would prefer to try it on and have some input, will an aussie dress designer be offended by having to essentially mimic someone else's design?

Kerry Armatas

Yes, we can definitely recreate and design a dress to the style that you are wanting. This will mean that we can work with you on what you are wanting to have made and make any modifications if need be.

I really don't want to wear a veil, but what are my other options?

I really don't like veils at all, but I'm not sure what other types of headwear would suit me, I don't like wearing my hair up at all, only down

Kerry Armatas

If you are not wanting to wear a veil, you could have flowers in your hair, a crown, fascinator or hat. You may even chose a hair comb, the options are endless.

What are some good alternatives to traditional wedding dresses?

We are open to ideas but both being brides makes it kind of hard to navigate.. is there any ideas that we should consider?

Kerry Armatas

Your choices are absolutely endless. Anything from fish tail to tiered and even a suit if you so desire. For 2017 trends that are proving to be popular are large bow detail, full skirts, dramatic capes, 3D florals, long sleeves and lace are among the favourites.

Your dress should reflect you and your style and be comfortable enough to enjoy your celebration throughout the day. Dresses can be custom made to suit and compliment your figure. You may even choose to select a detail from each others design and incorporate it into your attire.
