It’s the age old question: DJ or band?
Hiring a DJ is typically the lower cost option for your reception music.
Many couples do a combination of some live music during the ceremony and reception. An acoustic duo for ceremony and canapes, followed by a DJ for dancing is a huge trend in recent years.
Typically bands will play 4 X 45 minute sets and have a sound system to play tracks between these times.
A DJ usually starts playing at the start of the reception and is hired for the duration (5-6hrs)
Acoustic Duos are great if you are looking to have the live music atmosphere - indie covers of all the classics make for a beautiful wedding vibe.
If you are after the upbeat, dancing, groovy tunes a band is the way to go!
For specific instruments, like trumpet, saxophone or keyboard, we suggest looking into a band with more than 3 musicians
Wanting to rock, jazz, swing and dance the night away? A large band is the perfect option!

Transportation costs vary based on location, however, the average cost our couples reported for using transport for the wedding party only was $1300.
Don’t forget about your transport home, a traditional classic car for the two of you to ride off into the night, makes for the perfect close to any amazing reception!
Your wedding vehicles should compliment your theme and venue.
Limousines can seat anywhere from 10 - 16 passengers. Expect a red carpet and a celebrity style entrance.
Hummer Limousines are all the rage for larger bridal parties - with extra leg room, the whole bride tribe can comfortably sit inside on the way to your big day.
Classic or vintage cars are a gorgeous way to arrive or leave your wedding, add a touch of class with a Rolls Royce or Bentley.
This one is for the car enthusiast. The old school Hot Rod or Mustang is always a certified way to make a grand entrance.
After something more modern and sleek? Why not opt for an Audi or a BMW. Luxe out with all the extras from heated seats to tinted windows.
Most couples hire a photobooth for the duration of their reception, so, we recommend you factor in about 4-6 hours of hire time.

Many brides choose to have their hair and makeup done professionally for themselves , plus a couple of other key people. Usually, the bride to be is charged at a slightly higher price to the others, as a stylist will spend the most time with the bride to ensure perfection.

We always recommend having a trial with your chosen artist to make sure you feel confident and comfortable with their work.
Most artists will charge in the $220-$250 per person range.
Flowers vary greatly in price. If you want orchids, peonies, and hydrangeas, expect a higher floral quotation. In addition to flowers, pricing may include: delivery, set up/ packdown and transport.
If you are looking for a budget saver, opt for more greenery than flowers.
