Marie and Trevor’s manifested Palm Cove Celebration by South Pacific Bridal

This tropical Palm Cove celebration is a lesson in the power of a clear vision.

Long before she met Trevor, Marie held a vision board featuring a specific seaside chapel, a dream that became a reality years later when they exchanged vows at that exact location. Their story began during the height of Sydney’s COVID lockdowns where their first date was restricted to a simple walk. The connection was immediate, and the pair moved in together within six weeks. The proposal followed nine months later during a trip to Bali, where Trevor chose a chapel on the water to ask the question with a custom black diamond ring. “He read the memo and got it spot on,” Marie says.

The couple travelled from Sydney to Palm Cove for an Under the Stars wedding package. The ceremony took place at the Alamanda Great Barrier Reef Chapel, the building Marie had dreamed of for nearly a decade. The most sentimental moment of the day involved their 11 month old daughter, Maiela, who walked down the aisle to Trevor. “She screamed the entire way, but that made it even more memorable,” Marie shares. To honour Marie’s heritage, the ceremony included traditional Croatian Rakija shots, and the couple provided thoughtful touches for their 67 guests, including thongs for the sand and towels for salty feet.

Following the ceremony, guests took a short walk to NuNu Restaurant for a reception designed with a romantic Italian vibe by the beach. Guests sat at a long banquet table nestled between palm trees on the sand, illuminated by fairy lights. The couple opted for a Kings Banquet family style dinner featuring slow roasted trout, grass fed beef, and honey roast chicken. To keep the energy high, they served a roving dessert of walnut brownies and lemon semolina cake on the dance floor. As the night progressed, the celebration incorporated the Kolo, a traditional Croatian dance, accompanied by a live saxophone player and a surprise fireworks display over the water.

Reflecting on the destination planning process, Marie credits their seamless experience to the team at South Pacific Bridal. “If I can give any bride advice: get a wedding planner,” she says, noting that the process was entirely stress free.
