For Caitlin and Liam, the marriage proposal happened in one of the most romantic places in the world: Hamilton Island. On the cusp of the Great Barrier Reef, Liam organised an epic surprise.

A sneaky room change organised with the staff at the hotel, Caitlin walked into her new room greeted by a petal love heart and champagne. Through all the excitement, she had barely noticed that during this time, Liam had dropped down to one knee. It was a resounding “yes!”, followed by drinks and dinner, watching the showstopping North Queensland sunset.

The wedding came a year and a half later. Three hours out of Melbourne, nestled in the spectacular Grampians at Grampians Park Station. Under a stunning arbor with breathtaking views, Caitlin and Liam declared “forever” to one another.

Let’s go back to the day before the wedding. The family and friends from both sides enjoyed sunset drinks and canapés whilst getting to know one another. This allowed for everyone to have met before the wedding day, which Caitlin recommends, “it allows us to chat with everyone and develop relationships, which took some of the pressure off the big day.”

It was finally the wedding day. The bride woke up with her bride squad at Pomonal Estate, and the groom was onsite at Grampians Park Station, in perfect weather. The morning went by in a blur, a mix of fun times with friends and some of the obligatory nerves.

Before she knew it, it was time for Caitlin to walk down the aisle. “It was one of the most surreal experiences I have had. Pure joy and excitement to see everyone together to celebrate our love,” the bride gushes.

The ceremony was beautiful. Perfect weather, perfect backdrop. The celebrant Ash made the ceremony easy and a pleasure, retelling the couple’s beautiful love story and made everyone around them feel comfortable.

When the newlyweds made their way back down the aisle, confetti showered them. It was a moment to remember. The photos tell that story of pure joy and ultimate happiness.

The beautiful weather held up as the partygoers moved into cocktail hour with the bridal party entrance. For the couple, missing the cocktail hour wasn’t going to happen; they wanted to enjoy the gorgeous landscape with their nearest and dearest.

Cocktail hour was followed by speeches and a delicious dinner before a bride and groom photoshoot with the spectacular sunset as the backdrop.

With the sun dipped behind the mountains, it was time to really party. A father-daughter dance kicked off the festivities and the outdoor dancefloor was lit up by the stars. The guests brought immaculate vibes, and Caitlin and Liam danced the night away.

And as for the happy couple, “I want to do it all over again!” Says Caitlin.
