America’s first Idol, Kelly Clarkson, has a lot to celebrate this Christms season, having just become engaged to her beau of one year, Brandon Blackstock.
Brandon, the step-son of country star Reba McEntire popped the question and Kel excitedly shared the news on Twitter saying, “I’M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y’all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night!”
“I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever.”
Brandon, a talent manager, met the 30-year-old ‘Miss Independent’ singer through his famous mum.
Known for her rockin’ break-up anthems, Kelly is so happy in her relationship with Brandon that, she says, she sometimes can’t believe it.
“I know — where’s the kick in the ass?,” she once told MTV. “I told my assistant that today. I said, ‘I’m just waiting for something to blow up.’
“She said, ‘No, that’s what happiness is.’ I’m like, ‘Maybe I’ve never been happy!’ Because Brandon does, he makes me happy.”
Aww, how sweet. Well, we hope Kelly and Brandon live happily ever after!

She recently tweeted, “Everyone has been asking about my engagement ring, so here it is 🙂 It’s a yellow canary diamond with diamonds around it and Brandon designed it with Johnathon Arndt! They did an amazing job! I can’t wait to make Brandon’s ring with Johnathon as well!”
