What would you expect a royal couple to do on their wedding night? Erm, no, not THAT.
After all the pomp and ceremony of the day, the newly minted Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent their wedding night rugged up in their PJs watching telly.
Yep, exhausted after their momentous day, the newlyweds retreated to a suite at Buckingham Palace and watched footage of their wedding all night. Well, maybe not all night.
These details, and an unseen photo from the day will be revealed in tomorrow’s edition of Vanity Fair magazine, which was photographed by celebrity snapper Mario Testino who also took their now famous engagement pictures.
The article says the exhausted couple slipped out of their wedding gear and into far less fussy robes and watched the TV coverage of their big day, which is estimated to have been watched globally by about two billion people.
“It was just the two of them, and they were so excited to actually see it on the television,” is what a palace aide told Vanity Fair in excerpts reported by the New York Daily News.
“Harry joined them afterward, and they were all in high spirits.”
