if you are interested in a venue ask for a proposed invoice prior to settling a depsoit. This way you will be outlined with ALL of the costs up front prior to you locking in your Wedding. This will allow you to have a clear ideas exactly what you will be paying for, and what is not included in the prices quoted.

If you are booking an outdoor venue and your viewing is at a different time of the year to the wedding, be sure to ask for photos of the venue in the season you are booking for, it may look very different in your wedding season.

We always find that couples have many questions and then completely forget them when they get to the venue because they just go with the feel of it. The best way is to write down some questions which are important to you, however an experienced and helpful coordinator is only at the end of the phone/email and can assist with any queries you have throughout the whole process.

Some questions we often get asked are:

  • Styling options - Couples have ideas of colour schemes, however we are often asked what would suit the venue and work within the space. We always take a tablet with us to show various examples of what has worked, and how creative you could be! Each wedding we host is unique so there's always plenty of variety, and these images may hopefully give you ideas of your own.
  • Suppliers - Being a venue couples can often mistake that we only take care of that side of the wedding, however we have a number of preferred suppliers and can help in all sorts of ways. With chosen suppliers we engage with them and arrange delivery/pick-up/set-up etc, so this is certainly one less job for you to think about.
  • Transport - for guests and for the couple to get to the venue - our couples have VIP treatment and can come straight up to the doors of the venue
  • Tasting - how does this work etc. Now this is the fun part! Tasting the delicious food and beverages from our menu is always a highlight. Our chefs attend and can give you expert advice on any of the dishes!
  • Wet weather options - not everyone wants to hear this but with the elements nothing can be guaranteed so we always have a backup so that we are always prepared. Better to be prepared than sorry on the day!
  • Support - what support will you be given in the lead up to your wedding is very important as you should be able to call on your coordinator any time of the day! We have had a mixture of couples where they come once or twice, up to ten times (or more) in the lead up to their wedding and that's ok as it is what we are here for! We love seeing a wedding come together, and are just as excited to see how everything goes on your special day.

Hello!

It's always a great idea to head into a personal tour with lots of questions!
We highly recommend to have an estimate for your guest numbers and if the space will accommodate your desired number.

A few more questions would include the package inclusions, if they hold more than one wedding a day and if they have accommodation on site.

If you would like any further question ideas please don't hesitate to contact us, we are always happy to help!

It really depends on what you are looking. Best question to ask is how flexible are the packages and inclusions. Another question would be recommndation of other suppliers that can assist you with your wedding plans. Eg. wedding car hire, floriest, event decorators etc. Our Senior Events & Wedding Coordinator at the Royal Automobile Club of Australia is always available to assist in helping you plan your special day.
