Average booking time is 12 months.  If you are set on a specific date, make sure to book well in advance or you might be dissappointed.

The sooner you book your venue, the sooner you can start booking your vendors and start the planning process.

BUT in saying that, we have succesfully taken a booking 28 days before the wedding and it was a huge success.

Booking in advance definately lifts the burden of stress a bit.

Depending on where you are wanting to get married, it can be best to book your wedding venue striaght away! Some venues, book out years in advance, so its best to get in early, and then you can set your date and get in contact with other suppliers and ensure they are available for your perfect day.

Brides & Grooms, roughly book 6 months in advance, however we have weddings booke dup to 2 years in advance, and 2 months advance. Our venue is flexible to assist with both.

The further you can plan in advance, the better. Most of our weddings book around 8 - 12 months in advance.

Saturdays in our River Bar (the recommended area for wedding reception) generally books out 6 months.

That being said, if you're a flexible with your date/day, we can often even accommodate you with a couple of weeks notice.

Most couples are booking at least 1 year in advance.

The venue is an integral part of your special day, so as soon as you have a date in mind start contacting your preferred venues for availability! The old rule is 9-12months, however, as there are only 52 weekends a year, you can never really book too early, especially if you have a special date/ location in mind!

Once you have your date and venue, you can start planning everything else. Without a date and a location it is near impossible to book vendors, travel, accommodation and the list goes on...

Hi!

Amongst a number of other things, your wedding venue is one of the most important items to tick off your list. Wedding venues often book out quickly, especially on the ever-popular Saturday (there is only 53 Saturdays per year!). The general 'rule' is to book your wedding venue between one year and nine months in advance, however it is never too early to book!
