A Brolga Room Wedding at the Healesville Sanctuary

A unique and memorable start to your wedding may include a visit from one of the sanctuary stars, a huge bird of prey or a pair of dingo's – making for some great wedding photographs.

Welcome your guests and start your married life with a traditional wedding blessing from indigenous Wurrundjeri elder Murrindindi.

The Brolga Room itself can seat up to one hundred guests on round or rectangular tables, forty to sixty guests may be seated on one long banqueting table. We always set with crisp white linen, great wine glasses and fresh flowers.

In winter the open fire will create a warm and inviting welcome and in summer we will make the most of the outside lawn area with drinks served under the soaring Eucalypts & Wattles.

Our menus are created using the best of the Yarra Valley, over the last eight years we have worked closely with local growers & producers, to offer a menu that truly reflects the season in a simple and full flavoured way.

We are pleased to offer you the choice of designing an a la carte menu for your guests or make it simple and choose your favourite dishes for the table.

Our Brolga Room weddings are created to offer your guests fantastic food, personal and professional service, great yarra valley wines and attention to detail which will make your special day a fabulous occasion.

Staff at the Healesville Sanctuary where the Brolga Room is situated were lovely and accommodating with dietary requirements. They took the stress out of printing a seating plan, dressing the tables, florals, and many other reception and ceremony needs for a small cost. They were receptive to feedback and quick to make changes, even with last minute dietary requirements sent through. Highly recommend for a small wedding (6 tables of 8 and a bridal table for snug and we utilised the undercover outdoor area as a dance floor).

Healesville Sanctuary Weddings and Events took care of everything for our wedding, and the staff were incredible on the day. They helped everything run smoothly. Having the ceremony and the reception on the same venue was very relaxing, and allowing the guests to explore the sanctuary and play lawn games was the cherry on top. Many of the things included in the wedding package would have cost extra with another venue (e.g. archway, table centre pieces, lawn games, etc). 100% recommend as a venue to anyone who loves Australian nature and animals, or just wants a relaxed and fun wedding.

The venue was a very natural park/lawn setting, mid-century modern building and the location was stunning, the service was great and the food couldn't be faulted and the entire process was very easy. the events staff were very attentive
