The Grande Reception and Function Centre in Melbourne's suburb of Epping is a formal wedding reception ballroom that's perfect for a traditional wedding. The Grande Reception is one of Melbourne’s, purposely built, most desirable wedding reception venues. It has a magnificently appointed function room which seats from 100-400 people in air-conditioned comfort.
From the moment you walk through the doorway to be seated in front of our beautiful glass panelled backdrop, with a spectacular light show, to the large and spacious sunken dance floor, you and your guests will be amazed. The ballroom has the perfect ambience to create that elegant atmosphere for your special day.

Can I reserve a booking date?

We offer tentative's with no holding deposit for a week to let couples still have a think before securing the date.
How do I confirm a booking?

Once a deposit and contract is written up with us here, the date is locked in for good to that couple.
Can I extend beyond the package time, eg. 5 hour event?

We generally have a 6 hour duration for a function and will allow to an extent some over time.
Can I bring my own alcohol?

We do allow for a bottle of spirits to a table with no corkage fee.

You walk down the red carpet and the fireworks go off, and then the dry ice, and then even more fireworks, it was magnificent! Money well spent!! We had the most memorable day. I've never seen my wife smile so much the whole day, she was so happy and so was I!

It was good, however they didn't leave the food long enough and would take it before people had time to eat.
Our experience with The Grande Reception was really good. There was an unfortunate technical issue that they were very apologetic about. They went above and beyond in rectifying the situation for us and in the end it all worked out perfectly.
They were fantastic! So reasonably priced that we looked at. They were very accommodating and the venue itself is beautiful, the food was great and all our guests had a great night!

Everyone commented on the food, it was really good! I asked a lot of questions but the staff were very friendly and happy to help us. This meant I felt completely comfortable on the day. They had so many options and would be able to cater for anyone's tastes. We loved that we also got to leave in a car that was backed up into the actual reception room, everyone thought was so awesome!
