With a capacity of up to 150 guests for a sit-down dinner and 240 for cocktail receptions, Overnewton Castle is an ideal venue for an elegant and sophisticated wedding celebration. Plus, the onsite accommodation means you and your guests can stay overnight and enjoy the venue for even longer.

"My partner and I had the pleasure of having our traditional Sri Lankan and civil ceremony at the Overnewton Castle gardens. The castle and garden areas are very beautiful, unique and a truly magical place to get married. We loved the elegant details throughout the castle which look timeless. Emma and her team were very easy to work with, for both our vendors and us. They were accommodating to everything and even provided suggestions which was helpful when we couldn’t decide what we wanted. Our wedding was outdoors and it was quite hot that day with no cloud cover but there was plenty of shade for the guests to stand under the trees. I recently got engaged and am looking and a bunch of different options for venues at the moment. I've come across a few "all-in-one" wedding venues, which sounds really appealing in one sense because this would mean I don't have to worry about sourcing catering, decor, venue hire etc., which means I'd have more time to enjoy being engaged and not stress about all the suppliers I'd need to find - but how does this actually work? Are venues flexible with style and what we want or is it mostly like "this is what we have, take it or leave it"? I'm also wondering how we make our wedding unique if we're just going with one of these venues that a bunch of other couples have used - I know it's silly but I would kinda be crushed if someone had the exact same wedding day (as in like copy/pasted event) as me. How do venues mix thing up to make your day unique to you? Sorry... lots of questions in one go... PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND!!! - An already stressed out bride-to-be xx
