Our liquor licence permits us to trade until 12:00am (midnight) from Monday to Saturday, and until 10:00pm on Sundays.
Extended trading permits may be available upon request, subject to approval.
Yes, minimum beverage spends do apply and vary depending on the date and season of your event. Beverages can be offered either as part of a pre-selected package or on a consumption-based bar tab.

Unfortunately, there is currently no lift access. Both Kilburn Hall and the Col Taylor Lounge are accessed via external and internal staircases, with an additional staircase available for event suppliers.
However, we’re excited to share that planning is well underway for the installation of a lift and improved accessibility features, with installation anticipated for January 2026—stay tuned!
Absolutely! We offer up to 70 parking bays within our club grounds, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional free and paid parking is also available just outside the venue.
Please note that parking cannot be reserved, with the exception of special vehicles such as buses, limousines, and catering vans.
Yes! Our Riverside Lawn is fully licensed, allowing your guests to enjoy alcoholic beverages right by the water. Best of all, there’s no additional licensing fee required.
Unfortunately, no—Mounts Bay Sailing Club is a fully licensed venue, so all beverages must be purchased through us and BYO is not permitted.
However, if you have a special drink in mind that you'd love to serve your guests, we’re happy to work with you to source it. Additional costs may apply for this service, so feel free to reach out for more information!
Your bond is fully refundable and will only be accessed to cover any unpaid amounts owing and damage or loss of MBSC property including but not limited to our grounds (including reticulation), facility, furnishings or property, additional cleaning, rubbish removal.
MBSC does not coordinate events, we only manage the bar on the
actual day of an event. If you need an event coordinator please
contact us for recommendations.
Absolutely!
We can connect you with catering suppliers experienced with our venue. You’re welcome to choose any caterer you prefer or even self-cater. We recommend visiting and inspecting our kitchen facilities beforehand to ensure the best possible catering experience.
Yes, this is possible! However, it must be arranged in advance. Our ability to accommodate this will depend on the events scheduled the day before and the location of your event.
Please note that having MBSC staff attend outside of normal hours may incur additional charges. Let us know your specific requirements so we can assist you accordingly. Generally, MBSC staff attendance is not needed to access The Riverside Lawn.
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome at Mounts Bay Sailing Club! We understand that pets are part of the family, and we’re happy for you to include your furry friend in your special day or event. We just ask that dogs remain on a lead while on the premises and that owners clean up after them to keep our grounds enjoyable for everyone.
