Carrick Hill is a generous and gracious gift of Sir Edward and Ursula, Lady Hayward to the people of South Australia. It is a scenic vista of terraces, sweeping lawns, tall hedges, and intimate gardens sprinkled with sculptures and shady trees.
All this is wrapped around the magnificent homestead – a home filled with art, flowers and antiques. A home built to welcome guests yet provide comfort. A home built for living and enjoying life.
What better place for a wedding than Carrick Hill – the home was built on land given to the Haywards as a wedding present and much of the antiques and architecture in the home was collected during their year long honeymoon.
The whole home is the result of a wedding and a dream come true as the Haywards built the home and planted the beautiful gardens. You can now continue their vision and start building your own dreams by holding your wedding in the magnificent home or the scenic gardens.
Then you can hold your reception in the marquee on the terrace where you and your friends and family can enjoy fresh South Australian produce turned into magic as it is prepared by some of Adelaide’s finest chefs.
Carrick Hill will make your wedding one to remember.
Stunning place to hold our wedding. Sonya and team were great to communicate with and they provided the white Americana chairs for a small fee. The house manager was not too keen on us hiring the house, which worked out well for us to hold it outside in the immaculate gardens under the elms. Just stunning!
