Should we have first dance lessons?Roxanne J
Neither of us can dance so we're considering getting lessons for our first dance. But we don't want anything too choreographed and awkward so we don't want to pay for full on routine dancing. Is it worth paying for dance lessons and will we benefit from them?
Your First Dance
Absolutely! The wedding dance is such a wonderful part of your reception, and really highlights yourselves for an intimate point in time. Why not share your love through the movement of dance with family and friends - a great wow to WOW them. The part about learning to dance is the time that you get to share with your fiance through all of the wedding planning process. I find that my brides and grooms love learning to dance, as it is fun and something that they can do together. Your routine doesn't need to be over choreographed, so I would suggest around 3 private lessons. If that sounds too much, and depending on your lead in time, why not try an Adult Beginners Ballroom class - just to get some steps? Can be a cheaper option as well. Your First Dance is based in Brisbane, and we operate evenings and weekends to fit in with your schedule. Please check our website & Instagram pages. Warm Regards, Jody - Your First Dance.
