OVERVIEW
Before the wedding, you’ll chat with Charlotte about the moment you’d love painted and the details that matter to you. She arrives two hours before your ceremony, sets up in a spot that feels natural and spends three to five hours observing the scene as she paints in real time. Her focus is on light, movement and small details that make the moment feel true to you.
Once the day is over, Charlotte brings the painting back to her studio. Over the next six to eight weeks, she adds gentle layers of oil paint to build depth and softness. Your artwork is then framed, wrapped with care and delivered to your home with a personal handwritten note on the back of the canvas.

FAQ
On your wedding day, I’ll meet the coordinator or your main point of contact first thing, just to make sure everything runs smoothly. Then I’ll head over to the ceremony space to set up my easel and canvas. I like to tuck myself somewhere with a beautiful view of the scene but out of the way, so I can quietly take it all in while the day unfolds.
I usually arrive about two hours before guests, giving me time to soak up the atmosphere and start building the foundation of the painting. By the time everyone arrives, I’ll already have the composition sketched out and the main colours in place, so there’s something lovely and recognisable taking shape right from the start.
I’ll stay for around four to five hours in total, often painting until the sun begins to set and guests move to the reception. By then, the piece will be well established and ready for many more hours of careful work in my studio, where I refine all the details and add those little touches that make it feel truly complete.
Every painting is different, so the process varies, but I usually allow about six to eight weeks for the finished artwork. I never rush it, I paint until I’m completely in love with it. Most couples are happy to wait, often saying things like, “We have forever together we’re happy to wait!”
When it’s ready, I’ll sign the back of the painting, wrap it carefully, and hand-deliver it to you, sometimes even for a little reveal party! It’s always such a special moment seeing your reactions and reliving your day together through art.
I actually paint you in later, once I’m back in my studio. On the wedding day, I focus on capturing the atmosphere, landscape, lighting, and overall composition, the feeling of the day itself. Then, a few weeks later (usually around 2–3 weeks), I begin painting you into the scene after the layers of oil paint have had time to dry a little.
Once your photographer has delivered your gallery, I’ll ask for a few of your favourite photos and I’ll also have a look through to find a natural, candid moment that fits beautifully into the painting. I love choosing a pose that feels authentic and effortless, not one where you’re looking at the camera, but one that captures your connection.
Even if the perfect shot doesn’t exist in one photo, that’s the magic of painting, I can merge photos, adjust the composition, and create something that feels just right. It’s a creative process that takes shape naturally, blending the real and the romantic.
While all paintings are unique, I usually paint the ceremony, include the venue, the beautiful elements you’ve curated (florals, decoration) and the newly wed couples moments after saying “I do” – kissing, hugging, smiling, walking down the isle together ect…”
My style of painting is impressionist painting, I really look up to the old masters like Monet, Pissarro and Renoir. I use premium oil paints just like them! They blend so beautifully, have a little texture and shine. I use natural linseed oil, not turpentine to fin my paints so it's super safe on your wedding day and in your home. I'm not a fan of acrylic which dries so so fast, becomes flat and matte, my oil oil paint allows me to work with colours and blend until I’m happy and they look so textural and vibrant!
