It depends on who you hire, but I choose not to photoshop my couples to change or enhance the way they look.

I am known for my documentary-style photography, which means I capture moments as I see them unfold. I do my best not to interfere with what's happening in front of me and only subtly direct people on the day. (I do a lot of pre-planning and offer adventure shoots to serve as a practise run before the wedding. Most couples who do this are more relaxed and natural on the day, because they have already seen how I work and can get feedback on how they look in images before the wedding day. This can build a lot of self confidence).

In saying that however, if a bridge or groom had a particularly obvious/stand-out blemish that they didn't normally have, but it happened to appear on the wedding day, I may edit some of these out in close-up portraits. If a bride or groom is requesting I photoshop the size and shape of their body however, I will politely decline as this is not within my style of photography. I love to capture the essence of people, as I see them in the moment.

Best idea is to pick a wedding dress that you love and feel wonderful in!!!!

A good photographer would be able to capture you in flattering positions. You can have a chat with your photographer beforehand and let them know what you are worried about...this can help them to be mindful when they are photographing and they can also give you some tips.

If you were to get a couple of your images enlarged then we would check the images over and make sure that any blemishes were covered, any marks taken off your dress (doesn't take long to get a bit dirty especially if it is an outdoors wedding and the dress is long), any stray pieces of hair taken off your face...things like that.....that is just good service.

I hope you have a fabulous wedding day that you enjoy because you are happy, feel gorgeous and are surrounded by people you love and who love you.

Depending on how many images of edited ones, it will, of course, be possible.

Personally, I don't. I use particular poses to showcase my clients in a beautiful and flattering way. If this is something you are after, you will need to have a conversation about it with your potential photographer/s as not all photographers will have the same opinion and may offer this service at an additional cost.

A good photographer will use flattering poses to ensure that you look gorgeous irregardless of body shape. On a few occasions, I have done some slight tucks here and ther, but only if the shot was gorgeous, but the pose was not quite as flattering as it should be. The bride would never be told. If it needs to be done, it should be so subtle that you can not tell.

This really depends on your photographer. In general most photographers will keep your body the same, however edits for blemishes, marks, colour correction etc are common.

If you require or do not want this to take place it is important to speak to your photographer.

I have had people in the past request for sections to be photoshoppped but in general our aim is to make sure you feel beautiful and look like you.

You would need to ask your photographer personally. I don’t believe that photoshop is always the right answer as everyone is uniquely beautiful! I think that if you share your concerns and insecurities with your photographer they should be able to keep that in mind when they pose you and won’t do anything unflattering!

All album packages include photo shopping. So if we feel it is more flattering we may slim the tummy, arms and even a chin lift. We want you looking your best.

Generally the answer is yes.

Ocassionally the camera can produce images that are not true to the bodies form this is mainly caused by the angle of the capture.

Photographers are able to adjust many areas of the photograph in post processing at the couple request
