As a leading wedding photographer with over 10 years of experience, it still makes my heart sing to think about the beautiful people I have met and brought their wedding vision to life; it's incredible. I will make the biggest day of your life a permanent visual poem that will reflect you, at that moment, forever.
I use professional level equipment and have a professional level attitude to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible, we will continuously collaborate on what you want ahead of the big day so I can provide the best service and give you the best possible results.
I keep the fees down by creating a secure gallery of images so you can download images at full res, and perhaps create a book or prints when you feel like it, or maybe just stay with the digital version, whatever works- I'm a very bespoke service, get in touch to find out more :)

Sure is - I prefer to make images available for you in a personalised passworded gallery so anyone (who has ze password) can look at your special day and soak it all in. It's perfect for friends and family who couldn't be there for the big one. Also, my name isn't Steve, but thanks for your question :)
My turnaround time is 5-6 weeks at a maximum, usually much earlier. I tend to drop a spoiler by the next day to let you know how its coming along and give you something to look forward to.
Why yes, yes I do.
30% retainer paid at least a month in advance of your big day will secure me for the day. Please note, the rest must be paid, (at the latest) 2 weeks before the big day.
Yup. I only do 17 a year. That's it. I want to be 100% focussed on you because its super important, so I only do 17. Hopefully you don't miss out.
Its no problemo and happens I would say about half the time :) Its a 250 /hr fee that either the bride and or groom must agree to in advance, thats to avoid the awkward moment when you realise that a pretty big misunderstanding took place, and no one likes that. I will let you know about 30 minutes before my scheduled time is up and if you want me to stay we can talk about it then or ponder life, the universe and 42.
Unfortunately it isnt possible. Retainer fees are used to reserve your date and therefore arent refundable. If I had a time machine I would hook you up but something something quantum physics something something means no time machine.

I don't know that there is a huge amount that can be done to prevent it other than potentially an unplugged wedding that all the guests respect and follow the wishes of the bride and groom. It's pretty difficult to dissuade folks in a world of immediate gratification and FOMO but it's possible, it just has to be the right kind of people :)

I guess in a roundabout way, they are like anything which has multiple types. Think music, dance, movies, art - I'm sure you get the idea.
A photographers style ideally should resonate with you and make you feel warm inside when viewing the images, then you know you have found the right photographer. Sometimes a good indicator can be feeling at ease with the photographer really quickly and without awkwardness, though if you are shy it might still happen of course haha. It's a choice that will come to you on a gut level, so spend lots of time looking around at the local talent before deciding on someone is my advice.
Also, don't get a photographer that just follows trendy ideas, today's trend is tomorrows cringe - want an example? Mullets.

It's expensive because that is what the market is paying, and a few other factors that boil down to metaphorically looking at a duck. On the surface, it's serene and moving around without effort on the water, but below the surface, those webbed feet are working super hard!
It's a job that works like that, except it's all the work behind the scenes, learning and the biggest thing which cant be learnt - caring about the outcome. Its there or it's not.
