I'm all about the connection (not getting some epic Instagram photo), I believe in authenticity, and document what I see in that way to illustrate something heart-warmingly memorable, directly aligning with the emotions experienced.
You just do you! No awkward posing which is not so fun, I want you to be your ultimate intense selves, show me how you love each other and let me showcase this, in its all honest glory and uniqueness, allowing your personalities to shine through the shots, believe me, you'll feel these photos to your core.
I find it incredibly rewarding to be trusted to tell people’s stories through my images. If you let me be a part of your journey, whether it be an elopement or the full shebang, I would love to be “the one”.

Heck yes! Traveling is one of my many loves! I always feel honored to be asked to be a part of someone's big day, but I particularly feel blessed to have the opportunity to photograph interstate and overseas weddings. My passport is ready, I am ready to go and so grateful for every opportunity I get to see more of the world just as thrilled to shoot in a local Aussie pub.
I will need you to cover some of my travel expenses for destination weddings. I can offer you special rates to make things much more affordable. (I have a talent to keep costs to a minimum especially for destination weddings). I've been lucky enough to document an overstate wedding in Cairns (oh my, I loved it) Just let me know whereabouts the big day is taking place and I'll provide you a personalized quote, it may be cheaper than you imagined. Absolutely! I love to stay in touch with my couples in the lead up to and after the wedding day; it’s this connection that helps us to feel comfortable with each other and I want you to be sure we are vibing on the same frequency before we make it official.
I’ve done this a few times now (hundred something), so I know a thing or two about weddings. Let’s discuss all of the plans, details, and timelines for the special day. I am here for you either over the phone, Skype or in-person near Docklands on weekdays over a cuppa… something (and yes I can show album samples)
Maybe… If the wedding is taking place somewhere, I haven’t shot before and where there aren’t many obvious portrait locations, I may go for a scout a few days before, but this is very rarely necessary.
Well well… I do not want to say a fly on the wall (this sentence overly used), I’ll be buzzing around all the time in an unobtrusive way. For the big chunk of the day, I will simply capture the day as you’re doing your own thing. For any portraits, I will guide you when needed, so you are not awkwardly standing there wondering what to do. I take into consideration composition, lighting, and background – taking you to ideal locations and then letting you get comfortable, so everything looks and feels natural.
I allow plenty of time in our pre-wedding consultation to sort out all the details.
Up to you darlings! My minimum number of hours is 6 and maximum 15. I think 8 hours usually covers a wedding day perfectly – allowing me to capture the getting ready time, right through to the dance-floor shenanigans (I am happy to stick around longer, though).
You'll be most welcome to adjust your coverage amount at any time after making your booking, even much closer to your big day as your timeline slowly falls into place more and more. I offer smaller packages for elopements on weekdays only.
Usually not! I’m totally confident shooting a complete wedding day by myself and majority of my weddings shoot on my own. This ensures that I don’t miss a moment and can maintain a consistency of style.
Though there are times when a second photographer is useful when you are planning a wedding with a guest list of 150+. We can talk it through and make the call together.
Yes please! All day photography takes a tonne of energy, so if you could cater for me and my assistant (if I have one) that would be greatly appreciated. It would also be great to ask your caterer if they can serve my meal at the same time you eat, so I don’t miss any part of the reception. Just something to consider and thank you in advance
Ooh we are getting technical here. If you care enough to ask; I am a Canon girl. You’ll see me two Mark IV bodies strapped on me all day and with two prime lenses attached to them. I have some more lenses, lighting equipment and itsy bitsy stuff in my wheelie suitcase. Wish I could bring my cat as an assistant, but she is not into weddings as much as I am.
Totally feel you there! Most of us feel that way. Being in front of the camera is weird and awkward and what the heck are you supposed to do with your hands?! Fear not, I don't need much from you other than just being you.
My style of photography is about capturing real moments, not awkward posing with cheesy smiles. Also, I love capturing people in fun/silly/romantic poses, and really thrive on capturing you laughing, chatting, sharing quiet moments. During the portraits of the two of you, I'll give you a little bit of direction, so you don't feel lost, but my main aim is for you to be relaxed and your natural selves
We won’t let it stand in our way. We’ll get out there with umbrellas! (clear ones that allows light in, thanks to Kmart) Some of my favorited images have been taken in the rain. Rain is good luck on your wedding day! If, however rain is predicted to be really heavy, we’ll help plan suitable alternate locations the day prior.
Oh no no no! I’ve never missed a wedding for any reason. If I was ever to miss a wedding, it would be for a very serious reason (like death) and something out of our control. If that happens, I’d do my best to find a replacement photographer who I trust completely with a similar style and skill level. And if that doesn’t happen (heaven forbid), any monies paid will be fully refunded.
Let’s hope not! If you need to cancel or reschedule your wedding, unfortunately, your booking fee is non-refundable. The booking fee allows me to protect your booking, as well as myself. If you find yourself in this situation, please get in touch and we can discuss your personal circumstance and how we can help you out.
Yes, the best part! Each wedding is unique so there is no set number of images. The number of images I deliver varies depending on coverage, bridal party, guests, locations, pretty much everything! Usually around 1000+ photos for an 8 hours day. I deliver the best selection of images that reflect the story of your day.
I don't give out RAW files or every single image taken. The editing process is as much a part of the service as the photography itself, and raw files are an exceptionally long way from the finished product. I deliver about 2/3rds of every wedding in colour. I also love black and white images that suit best for some shots.
I'll usually email you a couple of photos within the couple of days after the wedding, so you'll at least have a quick memento of the best day ever. Every couple receives a beautiful private online gallery which can be shared with family and friends, as well as a USB your individually edited, high resolution images for large prints within 4-6 weeks of the wedding date.
You can also order print products directly and securely from your online gallery. For those who love tangible treasures, I can create a beautiful Fine Art Album for you (highly recommended seeing your memories on a page is the shiz). Get on here for more info about albums.

As a matter of fact, the photography style is a choice rather than being capable of doing it. As a photographer shooting weddings for 10 years now I changed gear, editing style, and target audience but I stuck to candid/documentary style photography which I think best way to tell a wedding day story because all weddings are different and they deserve to be documented to their own uniqueness. Also, it is important for me to be consistent in my style so my potential clients know what to get when they look at my work. Hope this helps :)
What happens if our photographer is sick on the day?
If we find our dream photographer, what happens if they're sick on the day and can't photograph our wedding? Would they send a replacement or how does that work?

I never missed a wedding for any reason until I lost my dad from covid in 2021 just couple of hours before I started shooting a wedding.

By being your naturalself...
At this point the connection in between your photographer and you becomes critical. You need to feel comfortable and relaxed in order to be yourself and to focus each other in front of the camera. This could be challenging to achieve if you feel like there is a stranger behind the camera lurking around you rather than a friend documenting the moment and prompting you with relative and personal content. So choose a photographer that tries to get to know you and values personalisation and connect with her/him.
