I'm a dedicated Mama to both a two-legged son and a four-legged son and I love spending my time off at the beach surfing. I'm a proud member of Surfing Mums Australia and I'm the founder of the Female Film Shooters film photography group. I love Interior Design and my design style is surf art and plants and I get a thrill out of getting in the surf with my film camera to capture some amazing surf portraits. Meeting with couples before the wedding day is most definiely key. I like to build a strong rapport with couples by getting to know them well before their big day. The better relationship we have, the better I can capture and document their day to tell their story.
A great way to get to know couples and for couples to feel comfortable with me sticking a camera in their faces is to do a love shoot or an engagement shoot before the wedding day. This gives couples the chance to see how I work and also let's us have a bit of fun before the big day. Often times, couples like to use these images in wedding programs or invites to the wedding. Love shoots can be inluded in a wedding package or done as a one off.
Yes. If there is a venue I am not familiar with I will scout it. However, given that no two days are the same, being able to shoot at a venue with any type of weather situation thrown your way is an important factor. With many years experience as a Destination Wedding Photographer, scouting the venue is not always possible, so being able to handle different situations on the fly is a must.
I really love anything beach and nature. Norah Head is a favourite, as is Terrigal and certain tree lined streets in Somersby.

Great question!
In addition to what you've already mentioned, if you're having an all day package then you simply must not miss shots like your partner's reaction when they first see you on the day, photos of the both of you getting ready. Photos of the reactions of your parents during the Ceremony, detail photos (like photos of bouquet, button hole, shoes, rings), and photos of you together during the dinner. There are other photos that an experienced and observant photographer will also capture without you realising so that you don't have to think about it yourself. These include photos such as how you and your partner look at each other, how guests interact, and table dressings to funny moments that happen behind the scenes. So, choosing a photographer with these types of images in their portfolio is a plus!
