I study the light, the layout, and the textures of the space to ensure I know exactly how to photograph it beautifully. In fact, seeing a venue with fresh eyes often leads to truly unique images.

Yes, I do. I shoot both digital and 35mm film, and I often incorporate film into the day when the moment calls for it. Film has a timeless quality—soft, luminous, and beautifully imperfect. Skin tones glow, the colours are rich and nuanced, and the images have a tangible romance. I use film purposefully: for quiet portraits, stolen glances, or when the light is just too perfect not to shoot on celluloid. Rain can be one of the most cinematic gifts on a wedding day. While I always plan for ideal conditions, I’m just as prepared for unpredictable weather. Overcast light is incredibly flattering, and some of my favourite images were taken with rain gently falling. I’ll bring clear umbrellas, scout covered locations, and adapt your timeline if needed—all with calm, creative focus.
Yes, and this is where Tanya comes in. She plays a key role both in the lead-up to your wedding and on the day itself. During your wedding, Tanya is by my side as my second shooter during key moments—capturing a different angle of the ceremony, picking up emotional reactions during the speeches, and sometimes acting as the extra bridesmaid you didn’t know you needed. Together, we work seamlessly to document your day with care, creativity, and calm professionalism. Absolutely. I carry full public liability insurance and work with professional-grade gear—always backed up with spare cameras, lenses, and storage. I also shoot with dual memory card cameras, so your images are always protected from the moment they’re captured. Your peace of mind is just as important to me as the photographs themselves
