Engagement rings and wedding rings do need need to specifically match in style or colour. They are your rings and you need to love them, so you should feel free to create a set that is unique to you. One important consideration is to ensure that your rings sit well together and will not unduly rub on each other. This will ensure your rings wear well together and require less maintenance over their lifetime.

Traditionally this is still the most popular option. However with the popularity of 'stacker' style rings we are see more brides request a wedding ring that is a completely different style to their engagement ring. Later they then choose a different style again for the eternity ring giving them 3 different style rings. The only thing to consider when choosing your ring is that this is forever and while trends come and go a classic style will always be fashionable. Whichever you choose it's important to think will I love this style in 10, 20 or even 50 years time. If you eventually do tire of your wedding ring design then they can always be remodelled. It's also important to consider not just the style but the quality as your wedding ring is likely to be the only item from your wedding that will last almost forever.
