Divorced parents need not change the invitations as all you have to do is make them generic i.e. "Susan and Michael along with their parents would like to invite......" This makes it diplomatic and very easy, so do not worry as it is quite the normal situation these days and many ways to handle it. Answer by BW Reporter at info@bwreporter.com.au
These days, there are more and more families with non-traditional ties.
To make your invitation wording more succinct, it's best to use the phrase "Together with our families"
This includes everyone on your invitation!
However if you want to include names separately, then there are some ideas on my blog:

I usually advise brides to say
"Together with our families"
We have the pleasure of inviting you to celebrate...
It covers everyone without offence that way. Otherwise you can say
Johnny and Amanda Smith together with Amy Jones and Mike Anderson
Invite you to the marriage of your children...

Ask a questionHi! I'm Chelsea and I can help you find suppliers for your wedding. Would you like some help today?
Easy! We usually suggest a general mention to the families involved, or a refernce to the bride and grooms parents.
No need to get into the details!
