Every company offers different packages and options however as a general rule, a wedding planner will arrange quotes/timelines/run sheets and liase with your suppliers, they may also offer on the day coordination where they are there to direct suppliers, assist with set up and ensure the general smooth running and overseeing of the entire wedding.

The wedding stylist or decorator, handles just the styling and decor side of things. They generally work with you to put a plan together for your styling, then execute that on the day, often arriving in the morning and setting everything up, then leaving sometimes before the ceremony even begins. The planner will continue often well into the evening to manage the day.

Hi

The wedding planner will be the one liasing with all the vendors for the day and ensuring all is running smoothly for you, whereas a decorator is incharge of  designing and decorating your event.

Hi

The wedding planner should be the liaison between all the vendors and the bride/groom on the day of the wedding. ... After the ceremony is complete the wedding planner should ensure the guests are quickly ushered to the reception venue and the wedding party is at the appropriate place for photos to begin.

Event Decorators on the other hand are solely in charge of the design for the event. This can include the design of the entire event from floral arrangement designs to rental and set up. Or can be utilized for consultation purposes if the bride is on a smaller budget. Consultations help to advise the bride how to make the most impact with the space provided while also being budget conscious.

Regards

Maria
