Southern Style Events is an event styling and planning company servicing the Illawarra and South Coast.

We are a family owned business that has years of experience in event styling in the Illawarra Region. Our friendly team are industry professionals with vast knowledge and experience in the event industry.

We are sure to create an experience that you will never forget!

From the initial sourcing of a venue and fantastic local suppliers, to the finishing touches of your reception styling, we have the skills and knowledge to make the journey of planning and styling your wedding a breeze!

The area that we service is from Bulli to Batemans Bay. If your site or venue is not in this area, or is in the Southern Highlands, we are happy to travel, within reason, for an additional cost if we are available on your wedding day. 

Short answer, no. 

We understand that a wedding is a very personalised event, so we would like to allow for this by quoting for each individual couple and their requirements.

We believe that all love should be celebrated and would be more than happy to be a part of your special day!

The best way to begin the process is to send us an enquiry via easy weddings, email or a phone call. 

Please include your name, contact details, wedding date and site or venue. 

We will make contact within 24-48 hours and will send you some information as well as a link to our online catalogue. 

From then on we can exchange information and images of your styling options and hopefully book a meeting in our beautiful new studio or at your venue, whichever suits you. 

After our meeting, we will send you a quote. 

Unless you are booked with a venue who's wedding package we are included in, to confirm your booking we require our terms and conditions returned, signed, and a 20% deposit. 

We require full payment at least 2 weeks before your wedding. 

Ourwarehouse is located in Bomaderry.

However, we service from Bulli - Batemans Bay.

We hired Southern Style Events to style our bridal table as well as all 24 of our guest tables. The job that Emily and her team completed was flawless! We got to have a look at our reception all set up before our guests had arrived and the ambience created from their styling exceeded my expectations. There is nothing I would change! Emily was so easy to deal with and she was so helpful in giving me useful ideas about how we could make my vision come to life. What wedding decorations do I need?

What are the main decorations you should always include for your wedding?

Southern Style Events

You can have as little or as much as you like! The basics include table decorations for the guest and bridal table, a welcome sign, seating chart and a gift area/table. Your decoration requirements will depend on your venue, what they supply and if some decorations are included in their wedding packages. 

For example, one of our venues is a Golf Club and they include our ceiling draping, chair covers and sashes, skirting for the bridal, cake and gift table and a basic seating chart.

The most common decorations that clients book on top of this is their guest table centrepieces, bridal table decorations, a wishing well and candles for the gift table and a backdrop for behind the bridal table. 

I think the best thing for you to do, is if you have already booked your venue, have a chat with the coordinator and see what decorations are commonly used at that venue. In saying that, don't be afraid to be a little different! There are so many ways you can personallise your wedding whether it be by having a donut wall instead of dessert, or a polaroid guestbook. 

If you are on a budget, why not incorporate your bridesmaid's bouquets in the decorations on the bridal table?
