'Helga' is our charming and immaculately presented 1975 VW Kombi Microbus. She helps out with weddings in the Blue Mountains, western Sydney, and Central West NSW.
Helga can take up to 7 passengers at a time, so she is great for transporting bridal parties – in retro style! Helga's exterior is the original 1970s shade 'Martini Olive', and her interior too is very original, but customised just a little for comfort, luxury and modern safety. We can either keep the interior cool and luxurious with plain white sheepskin seating, or we can lay on the Afghan rugs for a groovy hippie look.
The iconic Type 2 VW Kombi vans of the 1950s to the 1970s were the original fun buses, and are still wildly popular after all these years. You will definitiely receive an abundance of waves and smiles from people that we pass along the way on your special day. So jump on board for a piece of nostalgia, history, style, quirky design, 100% analogue engineering, eccentric individuality – and of course fun. Helga can play your favourite music as we travel. You will feel the lovely breeze as we tootle along country and mountain roads.

About
I run a micro tourism business using VW Kombis in the Blue Mountains, near Sydney, Australia. Apart from Kombi tours and weddings, I have a Kombi camper to rent for self-drive holidays (your honeymoon sorted!). I'm a musician married to an artist – typical Blue Mountains folk ha ha! We're into gardening, keeping chickens, cheese making, books and bush walking.
