The cake is to be served as dessert serves or tea/coffee serves.  Dessert serves are usually cut 2" x 1"  x height of the cake.  Tea/coffee serves are cut 1" x 1" x height of cake. Regards Sweet Mayada Cakes ??

depending on your cake sizes you would like each guest to consume. Usually the most effective way to cut a wedding cake is to remove each tier seperatly and cut from the top of the cake into 4 long pieces. Then with each slice cut that into 4 and in half again. This way you will have coffee sized pieces for your guests.

It really varies if the cake is to be served as dessert serves or tea/coffee serves.  Dessert serves are usually cut 2" x 1"  x height of the cake.  Tea/coffee serves are cut 1" x 1" x height of cake.

A wedding cake should be cut into thin slices across the cake this way you can cut theses slices in half or even thirds to get the maximum slices per tier.
