⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Most Magical Wedding Venue – The Moorings Lakehouse Not our first time at The Moorings Lakehouse — but from the moment we first arrived, we knew this was where we’d one day get married. The property is nothing short of breathtaking. It has that rare, jaw-dropping wow factor that leaves everyone speechless. Our guests were blown away and commented all day and night about how spectacular it was. As a wedding venue, The Moorings is the perfect romantic fairytale backdrop. It exudes a magical, boho-luxe vibe with a variety of beautiful spaces to choose from — and thoughtful “just-in-case” weather backups (which we almost needed!). We had our afternoon ceremony by the lake, cocktails and canapés beside the lakeside marquee with cruisy tunes, dinner in the magnificent bell tent, and dancing in the Rainbow Room with its stunning hardwood floor. Our guests loved the natural progression through each space as the day turned to night. The photos and video captured here are absolutely next-level — every shot looks cinematic. It’s truly an Instagram dream! You can feel the love and care that’s gone into every corner of the property. We learned that the owners, Elaine and David, planted every single tree and built every structure themselves — just incredible. The management team, David and Mirella, are warm, accommodating, and incredibly professional. They go above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. In the lead-up, I worked mostly with Mirella — she was an absolute gem: calm, organised, and such a reassuring presence. Her reminders and checklists were invaluable — I would’ve been far less organised without her! The accommodation was fantastic, comfortably hosting our group of 14 with plenty of space and style. Every element delights the senses — the decor, architecture, gardens, and sweeping lake and sky views. The land itself feels peaceful and grounding. On the morning of the wedding, I even had time to unwind in the sauna and dip in the lake — such a calming way to start the day. It’s the little luxuries, thoughtful details, and lush blooms that make this place feel so special. The Moorings Lakehouse perfectly blends upmarket elegance with rustic charm — exactly what we dreamed of for our lakeside garden wedding. We even took a wander through the orchard and veggie garden, which added to the magic of the weekend. I’m still reminiscing about how truly incredible our wedding was here. The Moorings Lakehouse is everything you could hope for — and more. Since booking our wedding at the Moorings last year, the venue has been nothing less than amazing - both picturesque and easy to deal with. From the start David was intent on ensuring the best day possible for us and his energy in setting up the venue made it the best it could be. The biggest load off our mind was the venue offered several options for ceremony locations, meaning whatever the weather on the day we were set which honestly helped a lot with a less than stellar forecast for the day. We booked both the Villa and the Barn for 2 nights meaning our entire bridal party +1 guest could come the day before for extra ease on the day of everyone being there, and to help setup and tie up loose ends. It also meant on the morning of the wedding we enjoyed a sauna and a quick lake swim to reset and hit the day refreshed. The ceremony location we went with was the lakefront which was amazing - even though it was quite steep our elderly relatives were able to be driven up and down which meant our entire family could enjoy the picturesque lakefront ceremony. The reception area onsite was great and more than enough room for our 60-70 people and first dance. The scenery is truly magnificent. The Morrings Lakehouse offered recommendations for additional suppliers and delivered exceptional support throughout our entire journey leading up to the wedding. Their assistance was instrumental in bringing my vision to life, and I found the staff to be both friendly and accommodating. I wholeheartedly recommend them to others, as the location is enchanting and tranquil, and the team is remarkably pleasant and approachable, creating a calm and enjoyable experience. The setting is nothing short of magical and breathtaking.

Just perfection! We just had our wedding at the Moorings Lakehouse and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We stayed for 3 nights and woke up to dolphins in the morning and the most amazing sunsets. Our wedding day went seamlessly with the help of Mirella and David and as the bride I was very relaxed. The marquee and set up was perfect and looked amazing with the stunning location. We couldn’t have asked for anything more with our closest family and friends
