You can get this form from your chosen celebrant that you engage to officiate your ceremony and you can also download the form from the Marriage section on the Attorney-General Departments web site.

Your celebrant will provide you with the Notice of Intended Marriage form. You do not have to find this form yourself. [Just for your general information: the NOIM can also be downloaded from the Attorney General's website (External link)].

Although you can get a Notice of Intented Marriage (NOIM) form from the Attorney General's Department or your state's Department of Births, Deaths and Marriage, Life Tree celebrants uses one the Celebrants' software applications, allowing you to add wedding and personal details online. Then, when you have your appointment to lodge the NOIM, we complete it together. It simplifies the process for you and ensures that everything is ready when you arrive.

Hi there,

You can download a Notice of Intent to Marry Document from the Attorney Generals Department or your chosen Celebrant can provide this for you.

One option is the Department of Births, Deaths, and Marriages website.

However your chosen Celebrant will have a copy and probably best to start off here as they can advise with completion of the form and what ID documents you are required to produce. I always have copies available for couples.

You can certainly download one yourself from the Attorney General's website. Alternatively if you've chosen your celebrant they are able to assist you with filling out this form. A celebrant knows exactly what information needs be put on the NOIM and can save any errors down the track. Often celebrants will have software where the information can be entered and the NOIM printed off. Some of that information then generates on to the legal documents you will sign closer to the ceremony and at the ceremony itself.

Your wedding celebrant will have copies of the Notice of Intended Marriage form , some of us even have it as a computer program and can fill it out with you when we sight your documents. But you can also download them yourselves from the Attorney Generals site if you would like to see the sort of information required.

I am happy to send you a copy of the Notice of Intended Marriage. Or you can download one. Your Celebrant will help you complete the form and witness your signatures. Otherwise your Signature can be witnessed by the list of people that are on the back of the form. Thanks
