The best part is working together to produce a personalised ceremony that is unique to who you are as a couple. I’ve seen too many celebrants making themselves the centre of attention, a wedding day is about the couple, their families and friends. I will present your ceremony to ensure that every single person will genuinely feel part of your wedding day.

I bring a wealth of Celebrant expertise and experience to the Sunshine Coast. From your appointment of me until ceremony closure, I will support and guide you and be a calming influence to ensure nerves do not spoil your lead up to, or during your special day.

About

It was actually someone else who pointed out to me that I would make a perfect celebrant. Once that seed was planted, it nurtured and became a reality. It was the best decision as I love to work with couples helping them create the ceremony of their dreams. I'm a mother to two adult children, and it was my pleasure to officiate the marriage of my son Ryan to his beautiful partner Alice. I 'mama' to six gorgeous grandchildren. I support same sex marriages and have no prejudices.

FAQ

Do you officiate multiple weddings per day?

I'm absolutely a one wedding a day celebrant! Anything else is money driven, high risk and not customer focussed. I'm exclusively yours for the day.

Do you have a PA System and is it included?

Yes I include a professional Mipro PA system. It's reach capacity is 250 guests. Your friends and family come to hear, engage with and be part of your ceremony. They will want to hear every word. I'll also download your music.

Do you charge for mileage if our venue is not close to where you live?

Fuel is the unfortunate compromise when there is significant travel to your wedding location as two return trips are required to include an onsite rehearsal. Mileage costs will of course be discussed and agreed to prior to you making any decision to book me as your celebrant

Do you custom write the ceremony?

I never have, never would use a template for a wedding ceremony. My brand is to work with couples to ensure their ceremony reflects their vision and content for their life changing day before their families and friends. Your ceremony is custom written for you as a couple. You will be involved in the creation of your story and will have final say.

We'd like to include a family ritual and have a few 'out there' ideas included. Are you open to this and can you help with suggestions?

Personalising a ceremony through inclusion of a family tradition adds more meaning, but it must be respectful. I can help with ideas and suggestions to honour departed loved ones, involve children that become blended into two families and add authenticity to your ceremony so it sets the tone for a professional day.

It has now been over a year since our wedding and although there are some details I don’t really remember, there are certainly some that I will never forget. Deb did an absolutely fantastic job officiating our ceremony - she brought humour, love and all the little important things to us, together into words. She helped make that day memorable and most of all made us feel calm as she was so organised and had helped prepare us in the days leading up the wedding. We always knew we made the right choice with Deb and a year on we absolutely stand by that.

If you want easy, then you need Debby! From the moment we met with Debby we felt instantly at ease and knew that everything was just going to be perfect. Not only is Debby very professional and organised, she was able to take the words right out of our mouths to to create a custom ceremony for me and my husband to be.
