OVERVIEW
My name is Lesley McConnell and my dream to become a Celebrant began in Victoria over 30 years ago.
But, as I have learned, things invariably happen when they are meant to and in September 2008 my dream became a reality, in Queensland; then on the 1st April, 2016 the second part of the dream happened when I became a Civil Partnership Notary.
As a Celebrant my aim is to connect and build a rapport with the people who require my services, for me that is the building block on the 'us' in your ceremony.
For you to be respected, understood, and heard. For me to listen, understand and create your vision.
My philosophy as both a Celebrant and as a Civil Partnership Notary, is to ensure you have the ceremony you want.
I feel to achieve the vision for your special day, a rapport is essential as we journey together.
Therefore my promise is to listen, to honour your requests (where possible) and to be committed to ensuring that the end result is all you wanted and hopefully more.
There are no accidents in life.........we meet the people we need to meet when the time is right!
Thank you for taking the time for me, and I hope I can do the same for you.
But, whatever comes or goes, just hope your celebration is all that fills your heart with joy.

Celebrants Promise
Hi hope all your plans are going well.
You certainly can have a religious ceremony, it is your day and whatever you would like to have be it religious, spiritual or somewhere between is completely up to you.
I have a booklet i give all my couples with readings etc and some of them are religious.
kind regards
Lesley
do you think celebrants would be up for flying to officiate a destination wedding?
would i have to pay for their flights accommodation food etc
Celebrants Promise
Hello how are you,
i have flown to a number of different destinations to do weddings and have worked out costs a couple of ways.
If we are due a holiday i am more than happy to have my air fare covered, and we pay for our own accomodation etc.
If on the other hand that is not the case, i will factor into the price an airfare and accomodation. I dont ever factor in food as i have to eat regardles as to whether i am at home or anywhere else.
Hope this answers your question
Kind regards
Lesley
