Mary Eats Cake specialises in offering the most exquisite High Tea experience for you and your guests at our tea house in Brunswick or at your venue of choice.

Headed by London trained Patisserie Chef Jessica Hillbrick. All sweet and savoury edible works of art are lovingly handmade.

About

Our bespoke experience comes from Sarah de Witt (a Tea Sommelier) and Jessica Hillbrick (a French trained Pastry Chef). After studying Psychology for four years, Sarah followed her passion (and nose) for tea. The dynamic duo combine their love for tea, pastry, celebrations and all things delicious to bring you seasonal High Tea food paired with house made teas served with love at Mary Eats Cake.

Why are you so special?

We are Melbourne’s leading High Tea specialist venue for a reason…we rock at giving you an unforgettable celebration!

We give you the reigns to craft your event and bring personalised decorations to your private tea room, add a fun workshop such as our flower crown making, tea blending or calligraphy class, get un-apologetically boozy with our fabulous cocktails and more.

We are the one-stop-high-tea-party-hot-stop!

What does a high tea involve?

Mary’s High Tea is made fresh in house and has a new face and flavour each season.

It includes:

Four fresh savoury items (some are sandwiches and some are hot and steamy)
Bottomless fluffy scones with jam and cream
Three sweet treats prepared in house by our founder and pastry chef Jess
A free flowing selection of artisan teas blended in house by our other founder and tea sommelier, Sarah
You can then add cocktails, bubbles, wine etc to suit your liking

Mary Eats Cake were great! We enjoyed our combined hens brunch. The food was tasty, drinks were good. We had an issue with the numbers that they had set up for but they fixed that very quickly which was great. Would recommend then for an event.

We offer our night functions at both our Montrose and Brunswick locations.

We can offer High Tea events during the afternoon also, which are lovely before a night out.

Ideas please - we are wanting to do a combined hucks party

I'm thinking girls day then Hucks night, but we have no ideas two bridesmaids are 17 what to do for girls day? It will be 8-10 girls and boys day will be 6-10 we are not into strippers or high teas please help. Thank you
