That's a great question! At Ido Ido we do both - popular edible ones are chocolate labels and alcohol bottles. Some popular keepsakes are candles, jars and acrylic cut outs.
I would personally go for a keepsake which can double up as a place card so it's a 2-in-1! My favourites are acrylic and timber glass tips, coasters and cockatil stirrers. This way it can be a place card and have their name on it so they will cherish it forever!
I believe it's better to do sustainable gifts. Here at Flourish Bomboniere we do live plants that your guests can plant and watch grow as a memory of your special day. It won't collect dust or be thrown out, it's the gift that keeps on giving. ??
Edible wedding bombonieres are the most popular choice. Decorative trinkets most often end up in the back of a cupboard, I can personally vouch for that. Edible gifts are greatly welcomed by guests as they can be personalised for place settings guests can snack on them or take them home for later.
That’s such a beautiful question—and honestly, there’s no “right” answer. Edible bonbonniere can be a sweet treat in the moment, but keepsakes… they carry part of the memory.
I say this not just as someone who makes candles, but as someone who’s seen how powerful scent and light can be. A candle is more than décor—it's something guests take home, light weeks later, and suddenly they’re back at your wedding, remembering the joy and love they felt that day.
That’s the magic of a keepsake: it doesn’t just say “thank you for coming,” it says, “remember this feeling.”
So if your heart is leaning toward something lasting—something that guests will feel, not just see—I’d say go with a keepsake. And if it happens to be a candle… well, I’d be honored to help create that moment for your day.
Hi,
We do personalised lollipops at Lollipoppy, so our vote is edible ?? but also speaking as a 2026 bride, we have decided to do personalised lollipops which last a long time and some keepsakes, so the guest can pick one or the other.
Thank you for your interest! ??
My handmade zephyr is an edible treat, freshly made with natural ingredients, and stays fresh and safe to enjoy for up to 14 days.
If you’d like to use them as keepsakes, I can beautifully wrap each piece in individual boxes, making them not only delicious but also elegant gifts for your guests.
What a challenging Question.
Do do a keep sake You have to ask wil your guests keep it as a keepsake or??
With an edible yes they will probably eat it and remember it for a week.
What ever you choose, you want the bride and the grooms name on it.
I am obviously bias to alcohol. But people do keep miniture bottles of alcohol even after they have been drunk.
We had a recent wedding where a week after the wedding . the brides mother came back and ordered an extra 50 bottles.
One guest tried it on the night and as it tasted so good others followed. Then they wanted more to have as keepsakes.
So I doubt if this reply really helped you. But just remember it is your night so what ever you decided is teh right choice

Edible gifts are fun in the moment and keepsakes are nice but they don’t always last or carry deep meaning.
What guests (and couples) remember most are the words the love and the gratitude shared on the day. That’s why we created WordTHy it turns those fleeting moments into a keepsake you can revisit forever. It’s like giving yourselves and your guests a gift that never fades
