Ellie & Michael play for love at golf club wedding

She cursed at him and it was the beginning of something beautiful!

Ellie Watson, 22, and Michael Crisp, 24, met as teenagers while working at AMF Bowling Alley. “The first thing I said to him was ‘watch out shetbag’ because he nearly ran me over with a table he was moving,” explains Ellie. “Since then we have been together.”

The Brisbane couple were hitched at their Pacific Golf Club wedding on March 14, 2015 – exactly two years from when they were engaged. “Our wedding was amazing, I couldn’t fault one thing,” says Ellie. “I think this is because our venue had an events manager.”

Ellie got a head start on her wedding gown, looking for her dress the month after she was engaged. She found ‘the one’ at Hills in Hollywood but didn’t want to commit too far in advance. Luckily, it was still available when she was ready to order 12 months later! To accompany her gown were “massive” heels from Famous Footwear. “I am very short,” she laughs.

“Michael is the love of my life and I’m so happy I can now call him my husband. He brings the best out of me and is always making me laugh,” smiles Ellie.

The couple honeymooned in Hawaii.
