Culture Shock Couture- Japanese Beauty made by Lisa Merton in 2009 (has since closed doors)
Culture Shock gowns have graced the front cover of Bride magazine.
A one-off Oriental-themed Couture wedding gown is custom-made from authentic vintage Japanese textiles, which she sourced direct from Japan. The two font sections are separate to the bottom of the dress, attached just under the bust, this gives the dress movement.
The dress material is a lovely silk, there is room in the bodice of the dress for alterations (in or out). I am a size 12c in the bust and a size 8 overall.
Can you imagine how divine this would look on you, on your wedding day, perhaps in a lush garden setting, or a sleek & stylish restaurant? Chic and elegant but at the same time, edgey and downright sexy.... and this could easily be worn again afterwards, as evening wear.
Japanese Beauty a very comfortable dress, the bodice gives support and does not slip, there is an inner skirt to stop static. The dress looks even better once on. At my wedding, I didn’t get changed I was comfortable for the whole evening.
Think outside the square, be creative & ORIGINAL with your wedding gown ideas, to really express WHO YOU ARE and to celebrate your individuality!
Please keep in mind that the front panels come from a vintage kimono so you can see slight marks or pulls in the thread, it DOES NOT take away from the dress.
Yes, this dress has been worn/used so some slight marks hence the really reduced price for this item.
The dress was dry cleaned.
