About
Thanks for checking out Rubie Weddings. I am a Major Events Professional who found themself with ALOT of free time during covid... So I became a Wedding Celebrant. I had seen my father perform weddings, MC'd some myself and also hosted other events, and simply thought - that looks like fun to do! So here I am doing it. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the weddings I have been fortunate to be a part of and look forward to bringing that style and energy to all my events going forward.

Choosing the right celebrant is an important decision for any type of ceremony or event, such as weddings, funerals, or baby naming ceremonies. Here are some tips to help you choose the right celebrant for your needs:
Consider their experience and qualifications: Look for a celebrant who has experience in performing the type of ceremony you are planning. Check if they are qualified and registered with relevant authorities.
Review their style and approach: Ask for examples of their past ceremonies or watch videos of their performances to get a sense of their style and approach. Make sure it resonates with your values and expectations.
Check their availability and location: Confirm their availability on your desired date and location, and ensure they are willing to travel if needed.
Discuss their fees and services: Understand the celebrant's fees, and the services they offer. Make sure you are comfortable with their pricing and their services align with your needs.
Communicate effectively: Communication is essential to ensure that the celebrant fully understands your expectations, requirements, and preferences. Make sure that you feel comfortable with the celebrant and they are able to communicate clearly.
Read reviews and ask for referrals: Check online reviews and ask for referrals from friends or family members who have worked with the celebrant before. This can give you an idea of their past performance and client satisfaction.
By considering these factors, you can select the right celebrant who can make your ceremony or event memorable and meaningful.

Depending on the style of your wedding, and of course - who you are choosing, the best time to ask someone to be in your wedding party is typically about 6-8 months before the wedding. This gives your potential wedding party members enough time to plan and prepare for the role, including ordering any necessary attire, arranging travel plans, and making any necessary arrangements for the wedding day.
Of course as I mentioned, it all depends on your wedding and those who will be in the bridal party. As another already said, any time you feel ready - also works!
