Christina and Dennis reuinte after months apart for classic wedding

Christina, 27, explains her personal style as sleek and sophisticated, yet warm, and that was the inspiration for her classic wedding with beau Dennis, 28.

They married on April 23, 2017 with 280 guests with a ceremony at St Gerasimos Greek Orthodox Church, Leichardt and reception at Doltone House, Darling Island Wharf.

“We found out about five months before the wedding that Dennis had gotten a job in New York City. He moved there on his own four months before our wedding and couldn’t come back until a week prior,” says the bride. “By the time the big day came around, we were both buzzing with excitement to be together again on our wedding day.”

“For the room décor, we had clusters of several different types of roses (my favourite flower) along with tulips, stock and chrysanthemums around the room and on each table,” recalls the bride. “All the flowers were white with pale greenery and we had candles in gold accents everywhere! The room glowed with warm light – it was perfect.”

The bride opted for a romantic up-do with soft curls.

HF Wedding & Hire Cars provided the couple’s classic ride.

“The water setting was perfect as we both love being by the water,” praises Christina of their wedding venue.

“Our flower girls were my two goddaughters, and they were so excited about my wedding dress that I wanted them to have their special moment too,” smiles Christina.

“My cousin makes beautiful wedding cakes … and as I christened her daughter, we thought it would be a special way to include her in our wedding,” says the bride of asking her cousin to bake their cake.

“Our wedding was so special to us because we were moving to New York City five days later!” smiles the bride.
