Just keep in mind that no-one should be obliged to give a speech, so if they don't wish to, better to accept that than have an awkward speech.
It's also a good idea to split the speeches up, with a maximum of (around) three consecutive speeches at any one time. You can often fit one or two speeches in after your introduction/entrance and before meal service, assuming everything is running on time and it works with your venue and their food service (best talk to them directly about that).
