FAQ

I can't decide what songs to choose, can the DJ help me?

Absolutely!

Song selection can be as open or detailed as you like. Some couples will select every single song they want to hear at their wedding, some will provide a smaller selection to give the DJ an idea of the "vibe" they're going for, some leave it completely up to the DJ. However detailed you'd like to be, we make sure the mix we put together is uniquely YOU!

Will the DJ take song requests?

Only if you want them to!

We're always ready and able to weave song requests into the mix, however if you'd prefer the DJ to stick to a certain list that is fine too. It goes without saying that songs requested by you, the Bride or Groom will be played no questions asked, but our DJs will use their professional judgement when it comes to playing requests that are likely to clear the dancefloor! We encourage our couples to provide a "do not play list" to aid us with this.

I was a guest at a wedding recently by DJB, and I was super impressed! He did an amazing job of reading the room and keeping the dancefloor pumping. He was really approachable and accommodating to our requests. The bride and groom were on the dance floor nearly all night and clearly enjoyed the atmosphere from the music. I will definitely book DJB for any upcoming events!

Bryan was extremely helpful pre wedding and selecting the music. We had a one on one prior to the wedding to plan the music. And on the day of the event , Bryan was accommodating for guest requests. He also played non english music and the dance floor was busy, which was good to see.

We recently had Bryan DJ at our wedding reception after party and he was fantastic. From the moment the guests walked in Bryan was friendly and attentive to the audience and really helped set the vibe of the evening. He was very helpful in the leadup and worked with us on our song choice/atmosphere we wanted to create. Our guests were on the dance floor for close to 4 hours and Bryan read the room perfectly with song choices. Outside of this, he was just a lovely guy that was a pleasure to deal with in the lead up and on the evening itself. We would recommend Bryan to any event that you need a fun and friendly DJ!!

How much are travel fees for wedding bands/djs?

G'day. We're currently tossing up between a city wedding and a destination wedding in the country. Wondering how much wedding bands/djs charge to travel (and if they even want to?) How far are they willing to travel for a wedding? Thanks!

It varies from vendor to vendor. At Escher Entertainment we do not charge travel within our primary service area (Greater Sydney). We are happy to travel outside of this and each destination is on a case by case basis. Where a travel charge is necessary, it is calculated on standard a per km rate for the round trip based on the shortest route recommended by Google maps. This is discussed and agreed upon prior to confirmation.
