About
There was once a bride standing at the altar with her husband-to-be, when their celebrant pronounced her name wrong. How do I know? That bride was me! Inspired to become a celebrant, I hit the study books and Valentine Celebrations was born. My specialty ceremonies are classy and fun, with a touch of cheek. The kind where the vibe is relaxed but the love is abundant. I pay careful attention to the details and create something unique for each couple and their love story. I'd love to tell yours!

FAQ
I am a qualified Broadcast Journalist with years of experience working in commercial radio and television, so I'm very comfortable with public speaking and an audience. I've had extensive vocal training and speak clearly and warmly, sharing eye contact with the people listening. My ceremonies are delivered with confidence, friendliness and positivity, and I like to throw in a few gentle laughs for light and shade. It's important to me that my couples and their guests feel connected to one another and that the ceremony resonates with the type of people they are.
Following the initial enquiry, I like to meet with my couples for a cuppa or glass of bubbles and learn more about them. Given the current covid climate, in some cases these face-to-face meetings are held over Zoom - but the vibe is the same! We chat about love, our families, our jobs, and I always get very excited upon hearing more about their wedding plans. I am yet to meet a couple who I didn't click with instantly, and quickly become very fond of!
Absolutely - I take you under my wing! It's common to not know where to begin, but each of my clients receive my comprehensive 'Designing Your Wedding Ceremony' booklet, which includes a crash course on writing personalised weddings vows. I'm with you each step of the way and am more than happy to proof read, offer suggestions and encourage. The words are already inside us, some people just need a hand putting them on paper!
My couples have the all-important job on their wedding day of simply showing up! With two witnesses in tow, of course. I take care of just about everything else:
I offer a number of packages at varying price points. Please get in touch for a formal quote!
I would love to marry you ASAP! But, the law won't allow it. Unless a court has granted a shortening of time, all couples need to submit their Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) pre-marriage paperwork to an authorised celebrant at least one month before their marriage takes place. So if you'd like to get married on 1st June for example, I must receive this document by 1st May. I supply all paperwork!

You can absolutely include religious elements in a civil marriage ceremony. You may choose to open with the Lord's Prayer, have a Bible passage or other blessing read by a loved one, or take part in a ritual such as a ring ceremony. You and your partner could opt to recite the traditional Catholic wedding vows, alongside the mandatory legal vows - which your celebrant will explain to you!
