Tips for the Perfect Wedding Spray Tan
Have a trial run

Don’t take any chances, make sure you have a trial spray tan at least one month before your wedding day with an experienced
spray tanning technician.
Take a photo of yourself with your tan after the trial.
This way you will see what your skin will look like on your
wedding photos.
Don’t get a tan, ask for a glow.
Dark tans do not look good with beautiful
white wedding dresses, and can look very odd. For weddings, lighter is better. Make sure you ask the spray tanning technician to give you a colour that is a "golden glow" or "golden hue". The aim here is that all of your guests will be making comments on how radiant and healthy you look, not how great the fake tan is.
Never, ever be tempted to get a dark tan for your wedding!
Not just for the bride, consider spray tanning all members of your wedding party.
If you are going to be tanned it really is worth considering having the whole wedding party spray tanned. If all (including groom and groomsmen) of your wedding party have a subtle tan, it may make all the difference to your photos (a pasty groom and a lovely golden bride might not look so wonderful!). Take pictures after your trial to test this out.
Have your wedding spray tan 2 days before the big day.
Spray tan takes approx 10 hours to fully develop and often look their best on the second day. Have your spray tan two days before for best results. Also, if you require any repairs to your tan this will give you enough time.
Ask to purchase a sample of touch up solution.
Your tan needs to be perfect on your wedding day, purchase a small amount of solution, just in-case.
If possible have your wedding spray tan in the same salon you had your trial. Make sure you spray tan with the same solution that you were happy with, and where possible with the same tanning technician. This way you ensure you get the same coverage and colour.
General Tanning Tips
Before your tan
It is important that you exfoliate your skin paying particular attention to knees, elbows and heels prior to your spray tan. Your skin must be free of any moisturiser, oils, deodorants, make-up or perfumes before being sprayed. These products act as a barrier, and have a negative effect on your spray tan. Any waxing or shaving should be done at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to ensure the pores of your skin are closed. Leave as long as possible between your shower and your tan so your skin has time to cool after your shower.
What to wear for your spray tan
Most people wear just a g-string to get the best tan possible, but this is a personal choice so wear what's comfortable for you. You may wear underwear or not.
How long does it take?
A spray tan only takes 10 minutes and with the heat systems on tanning machines you should be free to go out and enjoy the rest of your day within 20 minutes. However people have different levels of moisture in their skins so times will vary from person to person.
What to wear after your spray tan
It is recommended that you wear light (preferably black or dark) loose fitting clothing.
What you should be careful about
Activities that cause you to perspire more than normal as this will reduce the effect of the tanning solution. During the development time you should not allow your skin to become wet. If your skin does get splashed dab dry, do not rub, add a little bit of moisturiser to the affected area blending to an even colour.
