Hospitality veterans Chloe and Brendan knew exactly what they wanted in a wedding venue, and found it in The Refectory Werribee Park by Bursaria in Victoria.
The Melbourne couple, now aged 29 and 32, tied the knot on August 10, 2018 alongside 90 guests.
As an event planner, organising their modern elegant wedding was a total breeze according to Chloe. The mansion’s stunning architecture and breathtaking surrounds stole the couple’s hearts, making the venue an easy decision to make. They fell in love with the simplicity of the venue, and its classic, romantic ambience.
“The team at Bursaria went above and beyond to make us feel special and really made planning our wedding a joy. All the guests commented on how amazing the staff were and how incredible the service was. Being hospitality veterans, you really notice these things,” says the bride.
“After dancing the night away, we headed back to Crown Metropol for room service pizza and an episode of Supernatural, as you do on your wedding night,” laughs Chloe.

Chloe and Brendan first met where so many modern-day couples meet – at a bar. Only this time, they were on the other side of the bar making drinks rather than indulging in them.
Marriage Celebrant Jane Austin guided the couple through the formalities.
AB FAB Cakes created a cake that matched the couple’s invitations with blue watercolours and flecks of gold.
