Will the photographer know or should I pre-plan where I want to go? How many locations should I pick? Is there a rough timeline I need to follow? Sorry I have so many questions!

You can always ask your photographer and they can assist with locations.
Sorry Im in Nth Qld but Darling Harbour would be the Special place.
Hi Jovana\
Oh Sydney!!! Still my beating heart!! You have so many incredible places to take your weding shots. I dont know where to start, lets say The Bridge! - under the bridge, on the bridge, near the bridge. Over looking the opera house from the Bridge on the Northern side. Thats one of my favourite places to be honest. If i photographed your wedding, yes i would fly in from Brisbane: just to do it! We would go to dinner and we would discuss where you would consider the best places and I woul dmake lots of suggestions: we could take a drive around and find places you love. We would decide togther, where you feel comfortable and somewhere speecial toyou both, so that we could get the very best on the day. Hope that helps. xx J
Hi Jovana, generally a good photographer will plan all these details with you. Depending on where you are getting married, where your reception is & how much time you have in between the ceremony and the reception. Sit down with your photographer and plan with them exactly what you want. They may have some ideas for a photo shoot in Sydney, it will depend on what is your preference as well. Sit down and nut it out with them. Contact me at CMT Event Photography. Good luck. Regards Vicki

Hi Jovana, There are heaps of locations in Sydney for wedding photos shoot. However, they are limit to the lack of time and they must close to your reception. Before you choose the shooting locations, you must confirm where is your receptions. We travel many different place to shoot wedding photos, some customer like many specific locations in our web site. Most of the cases, we have to shoot engagement photos for them before their wedding day because most brides won't have enough time on your big day for travelling. We have many modern locations like ( heart Shape Island in Sydney). Check our web site: www.eternallovephotography.com.au
Hello Jovana - I always pre-plan where to go and I discuss it with my couples in advance. This is so that we don't waste any time on the day. I also have a wet weather plan up my sleeve just in case. The photo locations depends on where you are getting married and where your reception is. You will need to take into account the light too. As you are having a winter wedding, then you need to take into account that the light will disappear sooner. I like to plan all of this with my couples in detail including the timetable so that we don't run out of time! Hi Jovana, photo shoot locations will be based on several factors such as your preference i.e parklands, cityscape, by the beach/water etc and distance from the ceremony and reception. Your wedding day will have lots of things happening throughout the day so you would want to factor in some breaks and travel time. With that in mind, we set aside 1.5 for the photoshoot and up to 2 locations to get the most variety of photos.

Ask a question
Honestly, ask all the questions you like, this is exactly the stuff worth sorting out early. The short version: a good photographer absolutely should know the spots, but the best results come when we plan it together. You bring the feel you're after, parklands, harbour, a bit of city grit, somewhere meaningful to you two, and we match that to what's actually realistic on the day around your ceremony and reception locations. The biggest factor people forget is travel. Sydney traffic and parking can eat a shoot alive, so two locations close together usually beats three spread across the city.
Two to three spots is plenty, and often two done well gives you more variety than you'd think, especially somewhere with a bit of greenery plus a water or skyline backdrop. We'll always have a wet weather plan ready too, because Sydney can turn on you, and a good covered option means rain never ruins your gallery.
On timing, a March wedding is lovely but the light fades earlier than summer, so we work backwards from sunset. As a rough guide I'd set aside around 60 to 90 minutes for the couple and location photos, plus travel on top, and we try to land the main shots in that softer golden hour before dusk rather than under harsh midday sun. We map the whole run sheet with you so nothing feels rushed and you still get to actually enjoy your day.
One last thing worth knowing: everything we shoot is edited in-house by our own team here, never sent offshore, so the locations and look you plan with us are exactly what carries through into your final photos and film. Happy to talk through Sydney spots whenever you're ready.
