Its easy to show up to a wedding with an expensive camera, take some nice photos and call yourself a professional.

Its not easy to connect with people, eye out the important and meaningful moments and tell a story of a magical and important day through the art of photography.

I am a freelance wedding photographer in Newcastle NSW and I just love shooting weddings and heres why.

Weddings are one of the most important days of your life, making a commitment to someone you love is no small thing. As an artist who's medium is photography, moments that have meaning and story to them are what I want to be holding in my hands on a camera at the end of the day. I go the extra mile to get that one perfect shot. Weddings mean a lot to me, as hours of joy and happiness drives peoples interactions I keep my eyes out for those small moments you might have missed or forgotten to ensure theyre kept safe through the art of digital photography for future story telling and reccolecting.

My greatest acheivements are those who are blown away by my photographs and look forward to viewing them time and time again in the future. People can change, memories can fade but a photograph is forever.

My name is James Lewis and im currently living in Newcastle NSW Australia. Im known for my subjectively good looks and humorous personality. I’ve been taking photos and learning about photography ever since I was a kid. I spent every spare moment as a kid and teen taking macro images and portraits around my yard, learning about composition and using lighting around me to produce great images.
