Yan Pothin is the creator of Soma Design.  He has long cherished a desire to make each bride’s dream come true on such a special day.

With his innovative style Yan remains fully engaged and interactive until the perfect gown for the perfect bride on her perfect day reaches completion.  His love of making his client’s dreams come true on their special day is reflected in his attention to detail as he strives to create the dream dress for each and every bride.

Yan’s design specialties include the use of: French Chantilly lace, beaded Italian tulles, and imported silks from luxurious liquid silk satin to more structured silk dupion and duchess satin. He specializes in applique and beading and is rigorous about the cut and fall of a dress for maximum elegance advantage.  Yan’s gowns are based on simple classical designs with a modern twist, “I believe that a classical element in a design keeps a gown looking beautiful for all time”
