Located on the middle level of the spectacular oceanfront building, our column–free wedding venue can hold up to 400 people and boasts wrap-around balconies perfect for mingling.

Inside, bar areas add atmosphere and bring a warm ambiance to your special day, with plenty of room for the ceremony itself.

Our team fully caters weddings and will bring professionalism and experience to planning and implementing every detail they way you want it.

What’s more, we’ve sourced the best wine and produce from the Hunter and beyond; ensuring the food & beverages are as fantastic as the location.

What an amazing place. Mitch, Kacey and Emily at Merewether Surfhouse were absolutely brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. The venue itself is stunning and all staff were fantastic. Food was excellent and all guests were treated wonderfully and made to feel very special. If you are considering a wedding in Newcastle, well worth the call to Merewether Surfhouse.

The Surfhouse were a pleasure to deal with. They navigated change of plans and accommodated number changes due to covid and were so great to deal with. The location and view is stunning, the food and staff were great and we couldn’t fault our experience
