Service was not genuine and they offered no guidance as to the size to order. We felt "irrelevant" as we were only buying a flowergirl dress. We ordered our flowergirl's everyday size but it was too big. Their alteration fees were ridiculous, so we had a friend alter it!

Vey unimpressed with this store. They were pushy but I did pay for a dress which never showed up. They had forgotten to place the order but kept lying to us about what was going on. After advising that we would be going to Consumer Affairs only then did I get the money back. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

At every fitting I had to wait for 30-60 minutes, despite making bookings well in advance. Cost of alterations were horrendous.

very helpful, great at alterations- got mine on a sale day! Look for internet sales, start of year sales but get there early and take the ones that will help you make that quick decision but got window shopping before the sale day

WORST SERVICE EVER!! I ordered my gown in January paid deposit by june and they said dress will be in by August/September. They kept saying different dates. when enquired about it last week they said garanteed to be there by 10/11/2011. went in there and it wasnt there! I am getting married in 3 weeks..... they cant garantee when it will be in. which left me to buy another dress! When I first went in there they told my BM to put a gown back and for me to come in with my mother. They told me there will no form of compensation as they will be more out of pocket then me as they have to send it when it finally arrives. I am so friggen furious with them and the owner! They are more then happy to take your money but as soon as you want your dress its to much hard work!!

I had a really bad experience with Brides of Melbourne. I went to find my jewelries and found a necklace I like. The staff said she can get the earrings to match with the necklace ,so I bought the necklace and waited for the staff to call me to let me know about the earrings. I waited for a week but they didnt call me. I phoned them but they said they will call me back the next day. but they didn't call me.... Eventually,I waited for nearly a month but they didn't do anythings and I wasn't happy. So I wanted to refund. but they suddenly changed their attitude and went very rude! they didn't even talk to me anymore and just hung off the phone. This is the worst customer service I ever had. They look nice when we are going to buy something but once they got money,they just turned out to be so rude!! I never visit there again and I will tell my friends not to go there because it will be the waist of money.

I had a very bad experience in Brides of Melbourne. I was going to get some wedding dress,the staffs looked friendly but once I decided not to buy it,they changed to be very very rude! I can't believe that profesional sales assistant does such a bad manner. I never recommend this store!

Worst service ever. Purchased a pearl necklace on the guarantee that matching earrings could be made clip-ons. Was never contacted. Asked for refund, and told no and hung up on. Bypass this store at all costs. I have taken matter to ACCC as item as expensive.

Beware!! I've had a lot of trouble with my dress from here and have now been told it wont arrive in time for my wedding and they wont give me a refund! I was warned about this by others who've had the same issue!

FANTASTC service. i got my dress at a great price. It was the perfect dress for me and although I had tried on more expensive dresses, the assistant did not push me to buy what cost more,but what was perfect for me. Alterations service was fantastic and I would highly recommend them

Poor service, you don't feel special or magical. The change rooms were messy and dirty. They took ages to get my dress to me and never could give me an accurate estimation of how long it would take despite me calling several times. Also never called to say when my veil had arrived, I just happened to see it hanging with my dress. You see a different person every time. The alterations are outrageously overpriced and they didn't even do a good job - I had to argue with the lady that one side of the top of my dress was higher than the other. My dress however was gorgeous but I would go to the designer direct in future. Unimpressed.

I purchased at the end of financial year sale, $1900 marked down to $1200, Nothing wrong with the dress it accidently ended up on the up on the sale rack. They Also helped with my under petticoat & all alterations. Also stock all bridal needs jewelery, tiaras, veils.

Very helpful staff during the research/trying on stage, although I felt quite pressured about having to make a decision after two days of trials. The dress was ordered in and after a try on, alterations were made at an additional cost, although they were accurate and the end result was good.

I was absolutely delighted with the dress I picked from BOM. The lady knew exactly what dress would suit my body and helped to find all the right accessories to match. The only disappointing thing was that weeks before the wedding, I really struggled to get a firm ETA for when the dress would arrive. I kept calling and never got a firm answer until 2 weeks before the wedding. It wasn't until then that I relaxed but it was very frustrating and made me feel anxious not knowing if the dress would be ready in time. Considering these guys are professionals, I expected alot more from BOM. Apart from that, everything else was perfect!

After not having much luck with service in SA we flew to Melboune and one of the dress shops we visited was Brides of melbourne. They staff were FABULOUS, in no way did they make me feel pressured. I went in not expecting to buy a dress and left with my dress, veil and head band. They were just amazing.

the dress was amazing but I found that the service was pretty average. They were all about roping you in to buy the dress but the care wasn't in the final details and fittings, which was a bit disapointing. But BoM do have an amazing range of dresses and designers which is really good!!

Some of the girls were great, some of the girls not so great. Was disappointed that I was kept waiting for quite a lengthy period of time at each fitting. In the end my dress looked perfect though.
