Karrawingi Park, a hidden gem right in the heart of the beautiful Mornington Peninsula is seven and a half acres of picturesque parkland. No matter what your ‘perfect wedding' looks like, let our private park be your blank canvas. The serene grounds offer a pleasing mix of both formal and informal settings for wedding ceremonies, photos and receptions.
A description widely used by visitors is tranquil. Wander through the park or enjoy a cool drink under the shade offered by the many mature trees in the lead up to your ceremony, take gorgeous photos, and stay back to mingle with your guests after you’ve said ‘I do’.
The park is made up of an array of natural elements, from the wide open spaces & rolling lawns, to the abundance of mature trees and glorious willows weeping overone of numerous small lakes. Your guests are encouraged to explore the groundsand experience the relaxed ambience that consumes them. Other features include the Honeymoon Shack, Pier, and Gazebo which were all handcrafted by co-establisher Doug. The wide choice of setting you have from which to choose truly has be seen to appreciate.
CEREMONIES: Choose from one of many formal and informal settings within the park for your ceremony. In front of the weeping willow trees, or under the gazebo overlooking the lagoon to name a couple. About
Until 1993, apart from the larger trees, little of the present garden existed. After ceasing to run the property as a commercial orchard in 1990 and selling all but 7.5 acres of the original 60 acres, Aileen & Doug realised that they now had time for a previously impossible pastime. So the garden began to evolve. Steve has now taken over the reigns to continue the legacy his parents established over more than 25 years.
