I purchased the Travellers Rest Hotel in 2020 and since then have pulled together a great team of staff; in the kitchen, in the bar and also front of house. I love creating weddings that only a country hotel can offer. I treat every event as a personal endeavor. I get to know our couple and sharing such an important day is a real treat. By bringing together the talented locals in the community we can be classified as a one stop shop! I would love to show you around!

We are a lovely country pub able to give you a beautiful country nostalgic wedding experience. Part of the event is the journey getting here. Your guests will be stunned by the beauty of the region and wonder how you found us at all! We work with you from the beginning to plan out your perfect wedding. Want something young and fresh? - then hire our bar for the event (caters for 100 people) and kick back with a range of beautiful cocktails. Alternatively if you want small and sophisticated - then head upstairs for an more intimate event (30 People) starting off with bubbles on the balcony. Our dining room that open out to the beer garden can cater for 50 seats and 70 standing and adds a touch of art deco nostagla to your dream, and finally you can even take advantage of our beautiful outdoor area in a marquee (100 people)
The choice is yours! Our venue hire fee includes staff in the kitchen and front of house. Our Head Chef will sit down with you to work out what your menu/eating preferences are - so you get just what you want! Beyond that the choice is yours. You can bring your own wedding decorator or work with some of our talented local people to pull everything together. We have some wonderful people locally that we can package up for flowers, wedding cake, makeup, wine and music. Just reach out to us and we can plan together.
Getting here is easy if you and your guests are driving. A train service from Melbourne lands you in Trafalgar - a short drive from us.
If you want to create a full event experience though, why don't you hire a bus and bring everyone along with you. How much fun is it for everyone to come together, have a great night not having to worry about driving home?
We are able to package bus pickups for you or you can do it yourself depending on where you are located.
Should guests want to stay, we have 5 rooms upstairs (that is if the bridal party haven't grabbed them first!) and there are plenty of BnBs locally for you to stay at. Check our website for local accommodation.
