All eyelash extensions can be accomodated for however there are some cons getting eyelash extensions for the day. If you dont have them at your trial you may find your look will appear alot more dramatic. You can go for something more like a hybrid which are alot more natural. sometimes you can get fall out from shadows especially if you are having a shimmer to your eye it can also leave residue on the lashes. if you are a bride that cries alot they dont look very nice when they get wet (your not suppose to but we cry its human)
I would personally opt for fake lashes applied by the makeup artist however opt for an individual lash you will find they will appear more natural, they will be fresh also so no worries over having any fall out on them.
All vendors do have different pricing structures especially hospitality as they pay staff and need to be paid the awarded rate.
However in the Hair & Makeup world most artists are solo. We dont charge anything different to our packages for PH or significant dates.
If you have already found a hair and makeup artist that you feel comfortable working with and you have secured their services for your wedding day, it's best to schedule your trial closer to the day, ideally four to six weeks before the wedding.
If you are wanting to decide on your artist and want to trial a few artists before making the decision there are a few factors you may want to consider, such as- Availibilty of the Artist, how far out is your wedding? You may end up booking two trials as most likely your choices will change if your trial is too far out. Your own schedule and how confident do you feel about your artist and there work.
Usually we allow 1 hour to 1.5 for each service depending on the look and style. We also allow extra time at the end to allow for any touch ups ect. When organising a timeline we will want to know what time is your photographer arriving and when your ceremony starts. Usually I allow 1.5/ 2 hours from ceremony starting time to allow photos and travel to make sure im finished by.

I never wear make up except for special occasions. I don't like the look of fake eyelashes and caked on make up. I am wanting a fairly simple hair style and natural looking makeup for my wedding. I have 2 sisters with some good quality hair straighteners/curlers/etc and intend to get some good quality make up, do trial runs and keep things fairly simple but also nicely done. We have always done each other hair & makeup at previous weddings we have been to. But is this wise? What are the downsides of DIYing our hair and makeup?

Sometimes this is a great idea but then can add alot of preassure and stress on the day. I find that with alot of youtube and tik toks instagram you can learn alot thee days. In my professional opinion I feel Hair & Makeup is an important factor to ensure the morning runs smoothly. Hair & Makeup artists are trained professionals in this area and know exactly what to look out for and attention to detail, like long lasting styles and flawless makeup. All different hair stylists and MUAs have a specific style they like to do so i reccomend looking at ones that comliment your style and booking a trial. usually because your afraid of cakey makeup may have been because you go to someone who likes to do heavy bases. Below i have outlined some pros and cons for you to consider.

- you know exactly how you like it and wear it so expecations will be met
- you know what products work well with you
- can look at getting one on one workshops to teach you basic skills you need
Cons
- can waste money trying things
- can spend more money buying all the products
- the money you spent on a 1:1 lesson could cost the same getting it done
- your photograps may not turn oout how you wished due to not enough attention to detail
- run late because you spent to much time
